History

2021: Raising $70 million

On December 15, 2021, Ermetic, a cloud cybersecurity company, announced the closure of a $70 million funding round. It was headed by the Qumra Capital fund, Forgepoint Capital, Accel, Glilot Capital Partners, Northwest Venture Partners and the Target Global fund founded by Russians also took part in the transaction. The total amount of investments in the startup amounted to about $100 million. The company does not disclose its estimated value.

Ermetic will use the funds received to develop its team of engineers. At the same time, the company plans to expand its activities to enter the market. The startup is aimed at rapid growth in 2022 and, ultimately, at creating a "very large company" based on its unique approach to cloud and container security, said co-founder and CEO Shai Morag. The company also expects revenue to grow at least 5 times compared to 2020.

Ermetic technology is gaining momentum in the market. The startup says the number of customers using its platform has grown by 800% since its funding round in July 2020. During the period from July 2020 to December 2021, the staff of Ermetic has quadrupled and exceeded 100 employees.
