2020: Medtronic purchased AI Biomed

At the end of October, 2020 Medtronic announced Ai Biomed acquisition. The cost of the transaction of the company did not begin to be disclosed.

Tissue of a parathyroid gland can be difficult to distinguish visually from surrounding fabric during transaction. To save healthy fabrics during transaction, surgeons use the devices helping to visualize parathyroid glands. According to the developer, PTeye represents unique technology which provides visual identification of fabric without contrasting. In particular, PTeye uses the laser probe for obtaining the fluorescent answer from tissue of a parathyroid gland, at the same time need for contrast substance disappears by itself.
