On February 18, 2015 the Bentley Systems company, the supplier of complete software solutions for sustainable development of infrastructure, announced purchase of the French company Acute3D - provider of the software Smart3DCapture for modeling of reality. Using modeling of reality, observation of the existing conditions are processed in representation of contextual alignment in environments of project modeling and constructional modeling. Rapid progress in the field of technologies of scanning and the photo – and especially growing use of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) for these purposes – makes available a possibility of creation of pictures of such reviews and provides continuous access to data for maintenance of infrastructure.
As innovations of Acute3D made modeling of reality available to each professional in the field of infrastructure, we and our new colleagues are glad to work together to include functionality of Acute3D in all our platforms and sets of applications and to increase information mobility within lifecycle of assets of infrastructure'.
Acute3D was jointly developed in 2011 by the doctor Jean-Flipp Pons and doctor Reno Kerivenom who attracted and headed experienced group of researchers and developers, with the headquarters in Sofia-Antipolise (French Silicon Valley). From the moment of the creation, Acute3D attracted the growing number of users worldwide, including companies Nokia, PASCO, Saint-Gobain and also OEM licensees who turn on Airbus Group and Autodesk. In China, Internet gignat Tencent works with Acute3D for creation of huge 3D models of the cities for several megalopolises, with photos with a view from air and with the overview of streets. Other Acute3D applications included pictures of the existing conditions of building sites, production premises, operations on mineral extraction, pipelines and oil and gas exploration.
