2021: Bentley Systems bought Minalytix
In mid-September 2021, Bentley Systems announced that its Seequent business unit had acquired Canadian mining software company Minalytix.
The acquisition expands Seequent's cloud capabilities and solutions for mining industry, including field exploration from scratch and mining. Prior to the deal, Sequent owned a minority stake in Minalytix, and its partnership involved exclusive global rights to sell MX Deposit.
Mining companies use MX Deposit in conjunction with other geophysical and geological data management and modeling tools to search, develop and manage world-class deposits, and to enable teams of workers to manage risks and make more informed and profitable decisions. Sequent has already integrated its Leapfrog, Oasis montaj, Target and Imago solutions with MX Deposit in order to optimize processes and increase efficiency for geologists, engineers and other stakeholders.[1]
