History
2021: Bentley Systems bought Imago
In early August 2021 Bentley Systems , it announced that its Seequent business unit had bought a developer cloudy software to collect and manage geoscientific images of Imago. The acquisition will expand Sequent's portfolio of technology solutions while increasing cloud capabilities to help geologists and engineers better address environmental and energy challenges.
The Imago cloud platform allows you to collect, catalogue, and view geoscientific images from any source to support all aspects of the geological process from exploration to content control. Further development of Imago machine learning will lead to a phased interpretation of geological data.
Mining companies around the world use Imago solutions in combination with geologic data management and modeling tools to make more confident and useful decisions, analyzing instantly available high-quality images.
Sequent is already integrating its Leapfrog, Oasis montaj, Target and Minalytix MX Deposit solutions with the Imago product, which allows geologists, engineers and other stakeholders to easily extract knowledge and learn from geoscientific images. The purpose of the transaction is to unlock significant potential for mining and other industries by converting image data into meaningful information for geological activities.
Sequent CEO Graham Grant noted:
This is an exciting step to welcome the Imago team, which will help move Sequent into the cloud. We are constantly exploring ways to provide new technologies and opportunities to solve workflow problems, increase operational efficiency and increase value for our users who are working to solve some of the world's main civil, environmental and energy problems. This acquisition demonstrates the continued growth of Seequent and our desire to make a positive contribution to the industries we serve around the world.[1] |
