Cape Networks — the company founded in 2014 initially was called Asimmetric and specialized in development of the simple tools allowing operators of Wi-fi networks to control far off their access points. Further the startup began to create the advanced equipment and the software for formation of detailed reports (including using analytics) about work of wireless networks.
2018: HPE buys Cape Networks
At the end of March, 2018 the American IT corporation Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced Cape Networks purchase. Acquisition value did not begin to be disclosed. The maximum prior to the beginning of April, 2018 is going to close the transaction.
After accomplishment of all formalities concerning the transaction, Cape Networks will join Aruba company which HPE absorbed in 2015. It is supposed that Cape Networks technologies will expand possibilities of artificial intelligence of the products Aruba, including the new Aruba NetInsight platform intended for optimization of network performance. This product was provided in March, 2018.
It is said in the statement of HPE that integration of developments of Cape Networks with products of Aruba will create new AI technologies and also will increase security and availability of solutions in different environments, including cloud, mobile and Internet of Things.
Besides, clients of HPE will be able to use Cape Networks sensors for remote optimization of local and cloud applicaions and also for problem solving which arise in them.
The CEO of HPE Antonio Neri noted that Cape Networks fits into the long-term strategy of the company.
