Launch of 3DExperience Edu Centers of Excellence competency center network
On November 11, 2021, Dassault Systèmes announced the launch of the global program of competence centers 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Centers of Excellence. It is designed to provide teachers, students, specialists, students, enterprises and government entities with access to a network of competence centers with the possibility of continuous project-oriented training based on the 3DExperience platform. This will allow current and future employees to contribute to the accelerated digital transformation of the industry.
The programme is designed to meet the global training needs of students and professionals with the knowledge and competencies to enable them to succeed in a context where the requirements for existing professions are rapidly changing and new professions are emerging. For sectors of the economy such as industrial production, health care and the biotechnology and research industry, infrastructure and construction, this is becoming especially relevant. Cross-industrial digital solutions in these segments greatly affect all stages of the product creation life cycle - from creating an idea to decommissioning a product.
The first competence centers to join the program were CampusFab and Trades and Qualifications of Excellence Campus, located in the southern industrial cluster of France (CMQE-SUD) and the K-Tech Center of Excellence in the Aerospace and Defense Industry in India. Also among the first were the Center for Modeling the Production of Composite Materials at Purdue University in the USA and the Center for Industrial Innovation in the Aerospace Industry (CIIA) in Mexico. All of them work closely with employers from the aerospace, automotive and energy industries, as well as with manufacturers of electronic equipment. With the financial support of the Government, the centres and their industrial partners are working to introduce new models of digital learning. All this is aimed at improving the skills of local specialists.
The competency centers that have joined the 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Centers of Excellence program offer special training opportunities that combine the use of 3DEXPERIENCE solutions for 3D and mathematical modeling, simulation modeling and predicting the behavior of materials, products and industries with the most up-to-date production equipment. In addition, training courses and programmes developed in cooperation with local employers are available in competence centres. Teachers of these programs are certified to work on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Thus, students, operators, technicians, engineers and inventors will be able to increase their competitiveness in the labor market. This will be possible due to the development of their sought-after skills in working with virtual doubles, materials science, big data production and other areas within the framework of existing and new job responsibilities.
Creating educational formats that can constantly adapt to rapid changes in industries can only combine the efforts of government agencies, local employers, the academic community and technology providers, "said Florence Verzelen, executive vice president of Dassault Systèmes for industry solutions, marketing and sustainable development. - The 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Centers of Excellence program is based on our experience in creating our joint academic programs, as well as on the experience of accumulated and revised industry practices when using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Through this initiative, we will be able to unite our efforts and contribute to the emergence of new business models, new specialties and new forms of education. |
