Legionfarm is a platform that allows gamers to play their favorite games with professional e-sportsmen, which will help beginners pump skills in the game. It allows you to arrange joint sessions with experienced players, as well as hire them to pass levels in multiplayer online games (for example, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Apex Legends and World of Warcraft). Experienced gamers can give advice in online streaming. The service allows professionals to earn money, and beginners to train. By May 2021, Legionfarm offers two types of subscriptions:

  • individual game session lasting one hour - $12;
  • month subscription - $25 or $50

The founders of Legionfarm are Russians Alexei Belyankin and Kirill Chuvakov.

History

2021: Raising $6 million in investments

May 13, 2021 it became known about raising $6 million by Legionfarm. Participants in the Series A funding round included SVB, Y Combinator, Scrum VC, Kevin Lin, Altair Capital, Ankur Nagpal, etc.

Legionfarm founder Alexei Belyankin, in a conversation with Forbes, explained that the company attracted money in installments over the past 12 months in the form of safe notes - securities that confirm the investor's right to buy a share at the agreed price in the future.

According to Belyankin, in 2021 the company plans to hold a larger investment round, as "we are growing steadily from month to month." In April 2021, the service crossed the line of 100 thousand paid game hours per month. He added that the company spent $1 million on payments to professional players for game hours and as part of the program for the purchase of gaming equipment.[1][2]

2017-2019

In 2017, Legionfarm received 2.1 million rubles from the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) in exchange for 7% of the company. In July 2019, it became known that the founder of the startup Alexei Belyankin bought the share of the FRII, the value of the transaction was not disclosed.
