On March 11, 2019 Nvidia announced acquisition of Mellanox Technologies for $6.8 billion. The buyer will be able to expand with this transaction the fast-growing business on release of solutions for data centers.

However, for Nvidia acquisition of Mellanox looks attractive as the company invests in accelerators of artificial intelligence based on graphic processors and own high-speed connection which received the name NVLink much. In December, 2015 the Immers company together with the INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM of RAS by request of NIYaU MEPhI completed the project on creation of the computer system including 20 nodes with a peak capacity of 16.4 of Tflops.
