Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is the executive body of the state power of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), participating in the implementation of the state policy in the field of environmental development of the Russian Federation, waste management in the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), forest relations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), protection and use of aquatic biological resources, responsible for regulatory regulation and management, organization and implementation of programs and projects in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety, production and consumption waste management, environmental monitoring, state environmental expert review, ensuring radiation safety, safety of hydraulic structures, creating and ensuring the protection of specially protected natural territories of national importance, environmental education and education, water relations, protection and use of wildlife, implementation of regional state environmental supervision in the field of atmospheric air protection; use and protection of water bodies; waste management at facilities of economic and/or other activities; Protection and Use of Specially Protected Natural Areas of National^[1].

2018: Transformation of MS Ministry of Nature Conservation (Z)

Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of June 10, 2018 "On Amending the Decree of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) dated May 14, 2011 No. 640 "On the structure of executive bodies of state power of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) "The Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has been transformed into the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with the accession to it of the Department of Forest Relations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)^[2]

1994: Transformation of the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management of the RS (J)

By decree of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of September 28, 1994 No. 864, the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management of the RS (Ya) (Minister E.N. Chemezov) was transformed into the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), to which all state environmental protection, monitoring and expert functions in the field of environmental protection and environmental management were transferred.
