2017: Yakutia proposes tax cuts for IT companies
IT companies in Yakutia can reduce the income tax rate from 6% to 3%. This was stated in May 2017 by the head of the republic Egor Borisov during a meeting with programmers, the press service[1] of the regional[1] the[2] company.
According to him, this issue will soon be considered by the government. At the same time, Borisov noted that the adoption of such decisions, "as a rule, is hindered by municipalities that do not want to lose funds from their already modest budgets."
A special fund will also be created to support the IT industry. According to the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Yakutia Alexander Borisov, IT startups do not have the means to implement their projects.
"Now there are a lot of guys with good projects who simply cannot find investors. Novice IT specialists also cannot get a bank loan because they have nothing. Therefore, the creation of a fund would help to implement these projects, "hesaid.
Borisov also instructed the government to prepare a project for an annual all-Russian IT conference in Yakutsk, which would bring together talented programmers and startups together with investors from all over the country.
