Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (Ministry of Education and Science of the RS(J)) is the executive body of state power of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), ensuring the implementation of state powers of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the field of general and additional education, vocational education, state scientific and technical policy in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), powers of the Russian Federation in the field of education transferred for exercise to the state authorities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), carries out functions on regulatory legal regulation, development and implementation of regional programs for the development of education and science, taking into account regional socio-economic, environmental, demographic, ethnocultural and other features of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) dated May 31, 2022 No. 316 "On Approval of the Provisions on the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and its Collegium").

History

2016: Renaming

By Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of December 2, 2016 No. 1545 "On Amending Certain Decrees of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)" the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was renamed the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)^[1].
