Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Ministry has the following main functions:

• management of education, including management of preschool education, general education activities, secondary and higher vocational education (within the powers granted by the laws of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan), management of activities for additional education of children in educational institutions, management of additional vocational education, primary vocational education; as well as education management for orphans and children left without parental care, children with disabilities; children and adolescents with deviant behavior;
• management of scientific and scientific and technical activities of state educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan and scientific organizations created by them;
• licensing of types of activities assigned to the executive authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• implements the powers of the Russian Federation in the field of education on state accreditation of educational activities of organizations engaged in educational activities in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in the main general education programs and educational programs of secondary vocational education, with the exception of educational programs.
