Tatarstan's spending on health care for the year reached ₽135 billion

According to Business Online, the basic financing of the industry excluding capital investments amounted to ₽105,7 billion. Of this amount, ₽69,3 billion came from the compulsory health insurance fund, ₽21,8 billion was allocated from the republican budget and ₽5,1 billion from the federal budget.
State medical institutions of Tatarstan received revenues of ₽8 billion, which amounted to 107.7% of the planned annual figure. For 2025, it is planned to allocate ₽122,2 billion in the budget of the republic for health care.
Tatarstan Minister of Health Marcel Minnullin noted that the statistics of visits to medical institutions show the high intensity of the health care system. On average, every resident of the republic visits the clinic at least four times a year, and every fifth undergoes a course of inpatient treatment.
For 12 months of 2024, 17.2 thousand cases of high-tech medical care were registered within the framework of the territorial program of compulsory medical insurance. The number of hospitalizations in day and round-the-clock hospitals reached 911 thousand cases.
The ambulance service of the republic completed 950 thousand calls. The total number of visits and visits to primary health care institutions amounted to 21.5 million cases.
Deputy Minister of Finance of Tatarstan Gela Gerasimova confirmed plans to increase funding for health care in the republic for 2025. The increase in costs is aimed at further developing the medical infrastructure and improving the quality of medical services to the population.[1]
The annual budget for health care in Tatarstan has grown to ₽122,2 billion
At the end of September 2024, at a meeting of the profile committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, data were presented on a significant increase in budget spending on health care in the region. According to the announced information, in 2025 it is planned to allocate ₽122,2 billion for this area, which is ₽13,8 billion more than in 2024.
According to Business Online, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan Gela Gerasimova said that the total budget expenditures, including funds from the compulsory health insurance fund, for health care in 2025 will amount to more than one hundred and twenty billion rubles. This amount reflects a steady trend in the growth of social financing in the region.
Gerasimova also noted that in the coming years it is planned to further increase health care costs. In 2026, it is planned to allocate ₽129,5 billion for this area, and in 2027 - ₽134,6 billion. This dynamics indicates the priority nature of the development of the medical industry in Tatarstan.
Along with an increase in funding for health care, the budget of the republic provides for an increase in spending on other social areas. It is planned to allocate ₽62,3 billion for social policy in 2025, which is ₽2 billion more than in 2024. Spending on physical culture and sports will amount to ₽13,1 billion, and on youth policy - ₽7,3 billion.
The Deputy Minister of Finance stressed that within three years the volume of priority and socially significant expenditures in the budget structure will increase to 86%. At the same time, all types of social benefits valid in 2024 remain for the period 2025-2027.
The increase in budgetary allocations for health care will make it possible to implement a number of important projects in the medical sector of Tatarstan. In particular, in April 2024, plans were announced for the overhaul of 27 medical institutions in various regions of the republic. For these purposes, ₽46,2 million were allocated. The repair will cover feldsher-midwife stations, district hospitals, children's clinics and medical outpatient clinics.[2]
