Sound& Co was founded by Benno Broer (CEO) and Vincent Elfwing (CTO) in 2017 in the Netherlands. The company develops software for quantum computing and conducts research activities in the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Germany and Spain. Among the clients of Sound& Co: Johnson & Johnson, LG Electronics, Covestro, BMW and Airbus; The company has established partnerships with most of the leading American and European manufacturers of quantum equipment, as well as Sound& Co collaborates in the field of R&D with outstanding scientists from leading universities in the world.

History

2021: Attracting investments, including from Runa Capital

In mid-August 2021, Sound& Co announced the completion of a new round of funding led by Quantonation. Runa Capital and SPInvest also invested in the company.

The company will use the funds raised to further develop and expand research and development, in particular to work on its quantum platforms for modeling chemical processes, multiphysical modeling and financial calculations.

Runa Capital has invested in the developer of software for quantum computers Sound& Co

According to a study by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), quantum computing can bring in $450-850 billion in the next 15-30 years, of which $5-10 billion is available over the next 3-5 years. Sound& Co enters this market by developing quantum computing algorithms and platform products for quantum-enhanced modeling and quantum-enhanced machine learning, which BCG estimates account for about half of the entire quantum computing market.
