The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region acquires a 100% stake in Striar Specialized Developer LLC for ₽144,55 million to create an IT hub in the former Intel building. This became known in December 2024. The facility is located at 30 Turgeneva Street,.
According to Kommersant, the building was acquired by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation in January 2024, and in March it was resold to the Striar special construction worker, owned by former deputy governors Anton Averin and Roman Antonov, as well as deputy of the Legislative Assembly Valery Antipov.
Regional authorities plan to place an IT hub in the building to create opportunities for interaction between digital school engineers and professional developers in the field of information technology.
The company "Specialized developer" Striar "was registered in April 2023. Initially, its co-owners were the deputy of the regional legislative assembly Valery Antipov and the former deputy governor Anton Averin, in May 2024 they were joined by another former deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region - Roman Antonov.
A branch of Sberbank's School 21 is already operating in the building, to which the premises were provided free of charge. This educational institution will continue to work in conjunction with the planned IT hub.
The acquisition of the building is part of the IT sector development strategy in the region. The project is aimed at creating a modern infrastructure for specialists in the field of information technology and strengthening the position of Nizhny Novgorod as one of the leading technological centers in Russia.[1]
