Alexander Ilyich Klyachin, born May 18, 1967 in Moscow (Russia).

Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Geography, with a degree in Economic Geography (1991), University of Oregon (USA) with a degree in Geography (1993).

He worked as a researcher at the Research Institute of Labor of the State Committee on Labor and Social Issues.

After returning from the United States, Klyachin was appointed head of the Mir Corporation. He headed the companies: Aerotrans (flight route management), Moscow Managing Financial Company.

Since 2000, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CB Russian Development Bank.

Since 2003, invests in the hotel business.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of AZIMUT Hotels Company, the management company of the largest 3-4 star AZIMUT Chain of Hotels in Russia.

2012

Purchase of the Metropol Hotel in Moscow for 8.8 billion rubles

In August 2012, Alexander Klyachin acquired the Metropol Hotel from the Moscow City Hall at a record price of 8.8 billion rubles (about $280 million). The new owner committed to the preservation of this historical and architectural monument.

Investment in R-Style

In December 2012, it became known that Alexander Klyachin acquired shares in a number of legal entities of the R-Style group of companies, the key of which is R-Style CJSC. Eight regional divisions of R-Style, a training center and a Minsk office specializing in software development also became part of the deal.

According to the newspaper, Klyachin became the controlling shareholder of the integrator. The sellers were the founders and key shareholders of the company, Rudnikov Vyacheslav (53%) and Vasily Vasin (12.62%), while Vasin remained a minority shareholder of R-Style and retained the post of CEO.

The fact of the transaction was confirmed by the official representative of Alexander Klyachin and Vasily Vasin. The parties did not disclose the amount of the transaction. According to estimates by a source Kommersant familiar with the details of the deal, it amounted to approximately $100 million.

2019: Head of Tourism Committee in "Business Russia"

Since 2019, Klyachin heads the Committee on Tourism of the public organization "Business Russia" and contributes to the development of new tourist clusters in the country.

2020: Purchase of the network of sanatoriums "Russian Railways-Health"

In November 2020, Alexander Klyachin at the auction for 6.67 billion rubles acquired a network of sanatoriums "Russian Railways-Health." It includes 19 complexes in the Krasnodar and Altai Territories, Moscow and Kaliningrad Regions, Volga Region, Trans-Urals and Caucasian Mineral Waters. Sanatoriums will be included in the GC "Gleden Invest," managing real estate objects of the entrepreneur.

More than a third of the entire sanatorium network is located on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory: four complexes in Sochi (Chernomorye, Cape Vidny, Oktyabrsky, Ivushka), the Zeleny Gai sanatorium in the Tuapse district, Aquamarin in Anapa and Solnechny in Kabardinka.

2025: State buyback of construction company KR Properties facilities

Properties previously owned by development company KR Properties are returning to the former owner. The owner of the Azimut Hotels chain, Alexander Klyachin, agreed to buy them from the state.
