2020: Defendant in a criminal case on fraud in the creation of GIS TEK
On September 9, 2020, the Investigative Committee (IC) reported that Anatoly Tikhonov was charged in a criminal case. One of the defendants in this case was also Roman Ryzhkov. The court chose them a preventive measure in the form of detention during the investigation[1].
In December 2020, lawyers for Anatoly Tikhonov, Roman Ryzhkov and vice-presidents of Lanit Vladimir Makarov and Viktor Serebryakov in the Moscow City Court made an attempt to rescue their clients from the pre-trial detention center and achieve a change in preventive measures to softer ones. 2021: Extension of detention in jail
On February 4, 2021, the Basmanny Court, at the request of the investigation, extended the term of detention in the pre-trial detention center for Deputy Minister of Energy Anatoly Tikhonov, his adviser Roman Ryzhkov, as well as vice-presidents of Lanit Vladimir Makarov and Viktor Serebryakov. 2024: Criminal conviction
On March 27, 2024, the Meshchansky Court of Moscow sentenced seven defendants in a criminal case related to the creation of the GIS TEK. Roman Ryzhkov was found guilty of committing two crimes under Part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery), the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow told[2] in the[3]. The court sentenced to 7 years 6 months in prison, with a fine of 80,000,000 rubles.
On the basis of Art. 73 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation appointed Ryzhkov R.V. The punishment of imprisonment is considered conditional with a probationary period of 5 years. The preventive measure in the form of detention was canceled, Ryzhkov R.V. was released from custody in the courtroom. Read more here.
