2022: Start of the project "Moscow Postamat"
In the capital, the implementation of the citywide project "Moscow Postamat" has begun. This is stated in a message published on the official portal of the Mayor of Moscow on October 24, 2022.
At the first stage, the construction of the city delivery network will be placed in the entrances of residential buildings and in the adjoining territories in the Central, North-Western and South-Eastern administrative districts of the capital. Now Muscovites will not have to wait for a courier or go to the nearest point of issue of orders.
In addition, the project will stimulate the demand for e-commerce and logistics services, and small and medium-sized businesses with its help will be able to provide household services.
"This large-scale project will be in demand both by Muscovites and by business. Everyone benefits from its implementation: entrepreneurs will save on transportation, and citizens will be able to receive goods purchased via the Internet right at their entrance at any convenient time. The first posts were tested in several apartment buildings. Users positively assessed this format, the devices have confirmed their safety and usability. Based on the results of the tests, a decision was made to develop the network. And by 2025 we plan to increase the number of devices connected to the project to 10 thousand, "said Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development. |
At one checkpoint, you can arrange delivery from several Internet sites. In the future, this will allow you to combine disparate postamate networks into one. First, through checkpoints, it will be possible to receive orders from online stores and marketplaces, and in the future - to send clothes to dry cleaning, shoes for repair, as well as return goods that did not fit.
"The network of Moscow checkpoints operates according to a single service standard. Unified rules allow you to more effectively control the quality of the services provided, guarantee comfortable use, and also form the confidence of citizens and businesses in the capital's initiative, "said Yevgeny Danchikov, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Main Control Department of the city. |
In houses where it is planned to install postamates, first will hold meetings of owners in accordance with the norms of the Housing Code of the Russian Federation. They can also be organized online on the Electronic Home platform.
Later, Moscow posts may appear in public spaces, cultural, leisure and social institutions, in parking lots, in the lobbies of metro stations, the Moscow Central Ring, Moscow Central Diameters and in other popular places.[1]
2021: Launch of the urban network of checkpoints
In July 2021, the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow announced the launch of the "City Network of Checkpoints." In these devices, it will be possible to receive goods from online stores, orders from cafes, restaurants and grocery stores, various documents and certificates, send parcels without visiting the post office, return defective or inappropriate goods, send equipment to service centers for warranty and post-warranty service and receive back.
The first posts will appear in the entrances of apartment buildings, administrative and office buildings. Residents will not pay for the installation or maintenance of the posts. Whether to put a post or not will be decided at the council of the house, according to the project website. The checkpoints will operate 24/7. Tariffs for the use of this equipment will be announced later.
As noted in the capital's mayor's office, the network of checkpoints will make it possible to make receiving goods and services fast, affordable and safe. It is assumed that up to 10 thousand such devices will be available throughout the city.
According to the Moscow authorities, experiments with city posts are carried out in many countries of the world, including in Austria Finland,,,. To Poland China The coronavirus pandemic gave impetus: it COVID-19 became vital to receive everything you need contactless in your home.
By July 8, 2021, the Moscow Innovation Agency of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development is collecting applications from companies ready to develop and test devices. A vote is being held on the Active Citizen portal, within which Muscovites are asked to share ideas about what city posts should look like. Participants need to choose one of three options for the appearance of the device.[2]
