At the end of October 2021, it became known that the Italian manufacturer of ultrasound scanners Esaote had agreed with the Ural Instrument-Making Plant (UPZ; included in the KRET of the state corporation "Rostec") on the localization of the release of its products. The start of production is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.

This was announced to journalists by the interim general director of UPZ Yuri Valutov. According to him, in the future it is planned to use Russian components in Esaote equipment:

As the press service of the government of the Sverdlovsk region clarifies, we are talking about the production of ultrasonic diagnostics devices called "Unison." The lineup will include stationary ultrasound devices "Unison X5 and" Unison X6 "(the original brand of MyLab) and portable ones -" Unison Omega and "Unison Sigma." The devices provide the possibility of remote data transfer, have a modern ergonomic design with an additional built-in touch screen.

KRET noted that the ultrasound devices of the Italian brand have proven themselves well around the world, leading experts confirm their high efficiency in diagnostics, and also note the wide functionality of the equipment.

2018: MyLab X7, MyLab X6 and MyLab X5 announcement

On August 30, 2018, Esaote, one of the largest manufacturers of diagnostic ultrasound systems, introduced the new MyLab X7, MyLab X6 and MyLab X5 UZ systems. These new UZ models have complemented Esaote's product range by expanding the available feature set.

The new models are equipped with eHD technology, which allows you to get high-quality high-contrast images and ultimately improves the diagnostic capabilities of the system.
