2025: Inclusion in the register of Russian industrial products

In May 2025, it became known that the Russian Robot company received official confirmation of the inclusion of the RusRobot RR 120-2900 industrial robotic manipulator in the register of Russian industrial products. The new device is intended for maintenance of machines with numerical program control, transportation of objects of technical process and palletizing of products.

According to rusrobot, the six-axis robot manipulator was developed by the Russian Robot company and is mass-produced in Chelyabinsk at the facilities of the Robot Plant. The carrying capacity of the product is 120 kg with a range of up to 2900 mm, which makes it one of the most powerful Russian industrial robots.

Konstantin Shipulin, General Director of the Robot Plant, presented to the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov the functioning of the device using the example of a demonstration process for loading and unloading products from the conveyor.

The key feature of the new robot is the use of Russian proprietary software, which guarantees information and technological security, as well as provides more flexible interaction with customers. The use of modern communication protocols allows you to integrate the device with a wide range of peripheral equipment and systems within the framework of robotic technological complexes.

Konstantin Shipulin, General Director of the Robot Plant, stressed that the development of domestic robotics plays a key role in ensuring the technological sovereignty of Russia. Robotic technological complexes automate most processes associated with monotonous physical labor, which significantly increases productivity, speeds up production processes and allows continuous operation under various temperature conditions.[1]

2024: Announcement of industrial robots for blacksmithing and metalworking industries

In November 2024, the Chelyabinsk Robot Plant presented serial models of domestic industrial manipulators RusRobot RR 120-2900 and RusRobot RR 60-2100, designed to automate metalworking industries.

According to Metal-expo, the new six-axis robotic manipulators are designed to replace foreign analogues and ensure technological sovereignty in the field of industrial robotics. The carrying capacity of the models is 120 and 60 kilograms, respectively.

The equipment is equipped with specialized gripping devices for working with metal sheets and blanks. The control system provides high accuracy of positioning and execution of technological operations when servicing numerically controlled machines.

The company "Russian Robot," a partner of the manufacturer, has developed completely domestic software for the entire line of manipulators with a carrying capacity of 6 to 150 kilograms. The new system is designed to replace inaccessible foreign solutions.

Since its opening in February 2024, the Robot Plant has delivered more than 200 manipulators to customers. By the end of the year, the company plans to increase production to 450 units of equipment. The production site has its own warehouse of spare parts and finished products.

Robotic manipulators make it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of metalworking industries by automating heavy and dangerous operations. Robotic complexes are capable of a wide range of tasks, including servicing press equipment, moving metal sheets up to 2,000 millimeters in size and working with various types of blanks. The company provides a full cycle of production and technical support of equipment in Russia.[2]
