On April 16, 2025 Ministry of Digital Development RUSSIAN FEDERATION , it announced a draft government decree, according to which Russian regions will receive subsidies for the purchase of tablets for teachers. Gadgets are planned to be provided to teachers in state and municipal educational organizations to work with electronic magazines and educational content in digital form.

The document says that the purpose of providing subsidies is to purchase tablet computers based on the domestic mobile operating system. The devices are designed to "organize mobile secure access to information systems in the field of education." After purchase, tablets should be transferred to the balance sheet of state and municipal educational organizations located on the territory of the relevant subject of the Russian Federation.

The minimum technical characteristics of tablet computers will be set by Ministry of Digital Development in agreement with the Ministry of Education. Procurement costs will be determined based on the results of competitive selection in order to achieve maximum efficiency in the use of funds and the best results of the supply of goods.

Tablets will run on a domestic mobile operating system and help make the educational process more convenient, and interaction with digital platforms is faster and easier. It is planned that they will begin to appear in schools starting in 2026, - said representatives of the Ministry of Digital Ministry of Digital Development.

Purchases of gadgets will be carried out within the framework of the federal program "Digital Platforms in the Social Sectors" of the national project "Data Economics and Digital Transformation of the State." According to him, the teacher is a center for digitalization, so people of such professions need to be given the opportunity to use technology.

The head of the Ministry of Ministry of Digital Development said that the tablets that will be delivered to teachers will have an electronic journal, a lesson plan and other documents necessary for the educational process.

The Ministry of Education intends to spend more than 2 billion rubles by 2024 on the creation of the state information system "My School," which will become a single platform for all educational institutions in the country. In mid-March 2021, it became known about the proposal of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation to issue tablet computers with pre-installed Russian software to teachers and ambulance workers.
