Buying a plastic recycling plant from EcoPartners Group of Companies
On September 24, 2024, it became known about the acquisition by the Technonikol holding of a plastic processing plant in Tver, which previously belonged to the EcoPartners group of companies. The transaction is estimated in the range from ₽1,5 to ₽1,6 billion. The plant specializes in the processing of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and low-pressure polyethylene (LPH), and the acquisition will allow the holding to increase its recycling capacity, which is important in the current economic condition. The start of construction of a new stone wool plant for 3.5 billion rubles
Technonikol Corporation has begun construction of the third stone wool plant in the Khabarovsk Territory. This became known on August 12, 2024. The total investment in the new production and reconstruction of the existing plant "Techno Plant" will amount to 3.5 billion rubles.
According to Interfax, the capacity of the new Technonikol plant in Khabarovsk will reach 400 thousand cubic meters. m of construction heat and sound insulation made of stone wool per year. The commissioning of the enterprise is planned to be carried out at the end of 2026.
The company has already begun the pre-project stage of the new production. As of August 2024, a land plot was leased, a technical assignment for the implementation of the project is being prepared and a tender is being held to select a supplier of key equipment. Preliminary work on the construction site has also begun.
In parallel with the construction of a new plant, Technonikol is reconstructing the existing plant, Techno Plant. After the update, it will specialize in the release of technical insulation. In addition, the plant plans to launch a new production of substrates from stone wool for greenhouse farms - cubes and mats for growing plants in a hydroponic way.
As part of the modernization of the Techno Plant, the shipbuilding insulation line will be fully automated and its productivity will be increased. The completion of all work on the construction of a new plant and the reconstruction of the existing enterprise is scheduled for 2027.
Vasily Tkachev, head of the Mineral Insulation department at Technonikol, noted that the expansion of production capacities will meet the growing needs of builders in the Far East and increase exports to China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region to 20%.
As of August 2024, two Technonikol enterprises for the production of stone wool, Techno Plant and Technonikol Far East, operate in the Khabarovsk Territory. These plants produce insulation for industrial, civil and low-rise construction, as well as technical insulation, materials for fire protection and shipbuilding.

Sales of production facilities in Italy
The company "Technonicol" sold its enterprises located in Italy for the production of products for the construction industry. Sale of assets in the Baltics to the French company Soprema

Sale of UK business
Technonikol, owned by Russian billionaires Sergei Kolesnikov and Igor Rybakov, has sold its British business and is suing a Polish factory. This was announced at the end of October 2023 to journalists by the head of the Mineral Insulation department of Technonikol Vasily Tkachev.

According to Tkachev, Technonikol is not considering plans to sell its assets, which are located in Italy, Germany, Lithuania and Poland. In the first three countries, the company has built a successful business that does not require any funding and which works on self-sufficiency.
Vasily Tkachev also said that Technonikol will allocate 10 billion rubles for the construction of an enterprise for the production of thermal insulation from stone wool in Kazakhstan. The company begins to build another extrusion polystyrene foam plant in Uzbekistan.
Earlier it was reported that investments in the construction of an enterprise for the production of mineral insulation in Alma-Ata will amount to 5.5 billion rubles. Thus, investments in the project will grow 1.8 times. According to Tkachev, the company also has big plans for projects in Russia.

Purchase of production from VMG Group
The Technonikol company, owned by Russian billionaires Sergei Kolesnikov and Igor Rybakov, bought a woodworking enterprise in Borisov (Minsk region, Belarus) from the Lithuanian VMG Group. 2019: €65m invested in Poland plant construction
On October 9, 2019, Technonikol Corporation announced its intention to build a plant in Poland. Technonicol's investments in the project will amount to about 65 million euros. This will be the first enterprise of a stone wool company in the European Union. It is assumed that the capacity of the plant will be 1.3 million cubic meters. meters of finished products per year. The launch of the enterprise is scheduled for the first half of 2021. A controlling stake will belong to Russian industrialist Sergei Kolesnikov.
The Technonikol mineral insulation plant will be built on a 20-hectare site. It will house the main production workshop, the waste processing sector, warehouses for raw materials and finished products, as well as all the necessary infrastructure, including parking lots for freight and passenger vehicles.
As of October 9, active work is underway to design the future enterprise, initial permits are being drawn up. Specialists are preparing for a tender to select the general contractor for construction and equipment suppliers.
