Yandex has reduced the cost of real estate by 1.7 times to save on taxes

Yandex filed a lawsuit against the Department of City Property and the Management of Rosreestr in Moscow in June 2019. The company acquired the building of the Korston Hotel and a land plot on Kosygin Street for almost 10 billion rubles.

In this regard, in April 2011, Yandex agreed to lease another 11 thousand square meters for seven years. m in the same office center "Red Rose 1875" (the initial agreement between the parties provided Yandex with the preemptive right to buy out free space in the business center). Yandex, according to the agreement, undertakes to coordinate with the lessor the placement of external materials inside the business center and the sublease of premises. The contract stipulates an exhaustive list of reasons why the owners of the business center may refuse Yandex to sublet its premises.
