Pavilion No. 14 Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan pavilion at VDNKh is undergoing renovation

The National Pavilion of Azerbaijan at the world famous and very popular in the Soviet Union Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy in Moscow was built in 1939 by architects Dadashev and Useinov. Now the pavilion, as reported in May 2017 by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, it was decided to convert into a trade and exhibition center.

The Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan is confident that the new facility will contribute to the expansion of trade between Azerbaijan and Russia. It is assumed that an exhibition of Azerbaijani goods will constantly operate in the center. In addition, they are going to hold cultural events and present dishes of national Azerbaijani cuisine.

Major repair work will begin at the facility soon. The building of the Azerbaijani center itself, according to the administration of VDNKh, is very beautiful. It is faced with red granite. The facade is decorated with a 16-meter portico with a curved cornice, colored, like the entire pavilion, majolica with bright ornaments.

Russia returned to Azerbaijan Pavilion No. 14

Azerbaijan asked for VDNH

At the Russian exhibition of achievements of the national economy (VDNH), Azerbaijan was returned to pavilion No. 14, once dedicated to the country. This is the building of "Computer Engineering and Computer Science," MIR 24 reports. Until 1963, this pavilion had expositions dedicated to the achievements of the inhabitants of Azerbaijan. In 2014, it was restored, and the facade appeared in its original form.

The Russian authorities have leased the building to a Caspian neighbor for 50 years. Weather payment will be symbolic 1 rubles. per year. The corresponding document was signed by the head of the city property department Moscow Vladimir Efimov and the head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management Dmitry Pristanskov.

The area of the pavilion is more than 1967 sq. m. The land under the building is also leased to Azerbaijan.

Also, pavilions at VDNKh were given to Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. The terms of use are the same.

The information also reports that modern tenants of national pavilions prefer not to boast of the country's achievements in them, but to place cafes, shops and conference rooms.

Information Technology (IT) Interactive Exhibition

On August 1, 2014, an interactive exhibition dedicated to information technology (IT) opened at VDNKh in Pavilion No. 14 ("Computing Technology and Informatics"). Muscovites demanded to return his specialization to the pavilion as part of an electronic referendum in the Active Citizen project. In particular, the townspeople proposed to place a fair dedicated to high technologies here, create a museum of achievements of Russia and the USSR in this area in the pavilion, conduct lectures on IT and robotics and equip a gaming area.

Visitors to the pavilion can see how urban electronic services are arranged, try 3D printers, virtual reality helmets, wearable gadgets and other high-tech innovations in action, can learn how to create video and animation. Fascinating classes with the participation of robots will be held for kids on the territory of the pavilion.

The pavilion space is divided into four thematic areas: Find out, Try, Use and Create.

The "Learn" zone is devoted to urban information systems and services. Its visitors will be shown what the city's video surveillance cameras look like, how the doctor's appointment works, and the readings of water and electricity meters are transmitted.

In the contact museum, located in the "Try" zone, citizens can sit in an auto-simulator chair, print an object using a 3d printer, control what is happening on the screen with gestures and eye movement.

In the interactive lecture hall in the "Use" zone, you can work with an electronic interactive whiteboard, learn how to use city portals and resources, learn about the possibilities of official mobile applications.

Now the model of Moscow is available for public viewing in pavilion 75 of VDNKh. Its previous reconstruction was completed in May 2015. Then the layout area was expanded from 70 to the current 121 square meters. m.

The authorities announced the date of completion of the reconstruction of VDNK

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the date of completion of the main work on the reconstruction of VDNKh. They will be completed before the end of 2019. After that, VDNKh will become the "main park of the country," Sobyanin is convinced.

"To date, we have already started not temporary work, but capital work. There is not just a small cosmetic repair and conservation of objects, but scientific restoration. It takes a lot of investment, a lot of time. The same applies to engineering communications, "Sobyanin explained
.

According to the official website of the mayor's office, in the coming years it is planned to restore 37 historical pavilions and 17 fountains at VDNKh. Also erect a farmers' market, an equestrian arena and 15 modern pavilions on the site of abandoned outbuildings. In addition, there are plans to open 11 new museums. Among the largest projects are the installation of a 140 m high Ferris wheel and the construction of the first stage of the Park of the Future attraction complex for 11.4 billion rubles.

The main entrance of VDNKh awaits the restoration of mosaics and gilding of sculptures

The contractor for the restoration of the main entrance of VDNKh will be determined by a competition with limited participation. The restorer will have to restore the mosaic, bas-reliefs, letters of the main inscription, as well as gilding the sculpture "Tractor Driver and Collective Farm Woman."

The starting cost of work at the cultural heritage site of federal significance is 652.6 million rubles. The organizer of the auction is the City Department Moscow for Competition Policy.

The total area of the building is 3.1 thousand square meters. meters.

The arch of the main entrance was built in 1954 according to the project of architect Innokenty Melchakov.

The bid campaign runs until June 21, 2017.

The park of the future at VDNKh will be erected by the builders of Disneyland Paris

The general contractor for the construction of the Park of the Future attraction complex on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow will be the Italian Impresa Pizzarotti & C.S.p.A. A message about this was published on the official website of the organizer of the VDNKh JSC competition. The company will receive the corresponding state contract, the money will be allocated from the capital's budget.

Italians offered to build the Park of the Future for 11.1 billion rubles. with an initial contract price of 11, 35 billion. The main rival of the company was the structure of the Tashir group of Samvel Karapetyan, RBC reported. The third contender was a certain LLC "Supply Center," but the latter submitted documents that obviously did not meet the requirements. Perhaps this was done in order to challenge the results of the competition, suggested Ekaterina Pronichsa, general director of VDNKh JSC, in a comment to RIA Novosti.

Impresa Pizzarotti & C.S.p.A is one of the most famous and large construction companies in Italy, founded back in 1910. She built, in particular, an exhibition complex in Milan, Charles de Gaulle Airport and part of the Disneyland facilities in Paris. Including the well-known castle of Sleeping Beauty. In Russia, Impresa Pizzarotti built the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow.

Almost nothing is known about the company's partner in the Promstroy LLC project. Its representative Gennady Gavrilov explained to Kommersant that the Italians invited them as an expert on coordinating project documentation.

Moscow will invest 11.4 billion in Park of the Future at VDNKh

The city authorities will allocate 11.35 billion rubles from the Moscow budget for the creation of the Park of the Future attraction complex at VDNKh. Writes about it. TASS The corresponding funds will be laid down in the Targeted Investment Program. Earlier it was reported that Moscow plans to allocate slightly less for these purposes: about 10 billion rubles. Moscow will Sheets[2], citing sources[3] mayor's office[4]

Also, some details about future attractions in the park became known. "One of the objects is called" Cloud. " It will make cabins in the form of balloons, and the viewer, getting into them, will kind of move around Moscow, which could be in the distant future, "said one of the authors of the concept of the complex Andrei Boltenko
. "We
called the other object" The Sun. " The viewer gets inside and kind of moves in the solar system from planet to planet. The third object - "Metro Time" - is made as a metro station with cars and tracks. The viewer, boarding the train, gets into a parallel, fabulous world, the "time metro," where a variety of characters live - both residents of Moscow and Russia. The show is made on the principle of theatrical performance and exists in the form of five different projections. The viewer will be able to "go out" and watch everyone, "Boltenko added
.

The total area of the first stage of the "Park of the Future" will be 17.5 hectares. The construction of attractions is planned to be completed in 1.5-2 years. Rostelecom opened a stand in the Information City IT center at VDNKh

The first exposition of PJSC Rostelecom tells about two city projects in which the company takes part. Part of the demonstration stand is devoted to video phonographs, the project is being implemented jointly with the Moscow Department of Information Technologies as part of the city video surveillance system. The project is available to residents of five Moscow districts. Another part tells about the project of the joint dispatch service, which the company is implementing as part of the city initiative to switch from copper lines to fiber optic lines and eliminate air communications between apartment buildings.

The exposition dedicated to the video surveillance system imitates the apartment and part of the entrance - the elevator hall. Guests of the exhibition can test the video doorbell and the equipment installed by the company when connected. Another part of the exposition shows how the control room is arranged from the inside and demonstrates the advantages of the new format in urban realities.

Visitors to the center can use a 3D printer, try on a virtual reality helmet, test machine learning capabilities, find out what data is stored in urban systems, and learn how to control a drone. In addition, in the pavilion you can hand over used working equipment for the Good Deed charity event. All collected gadgets will be transferred to pensioners, large families and disabled people.

On the basis of the IT center, the only public access point to the video surveillance system operates in the city. With the help of consultants, citizens can check which cameras are installed near their home or their usual parking spot, watch live broadcasts from 140 thousand points throughout the city and look into the video archive.

"At the
moment, within the framework of the city project, we have already equipped about 2 thousand entrances with video doorways, and the process of installing new equipment continues. With the consent of 2/3 of the residents of the entrance, we install the necessary equipment in the apartments at our own expense and replace intercom devices. The technical solution allows any resident of the entrance to adjust the round-the-clock image from two video surveillance cameras on one of the TV channels. The view of the cameras includes the space in front of the entrance and on the first floor in the elevator hall, - comments Alexander Varev, deputy director of the MRF Center of Rostelecom. - "As for the SLM (joint dispatch service), the project is designed to reduce resources for responding in the event of an emergency, as well as centralize all incoming calls. At the current stage, we, together with DIT , have developed the concept of centralizing the work of dispatch services and developed a procedure for coordinating and putting into operation systems together with Rotechnadzor. In the near future, we will have to approve our own solution, develop regulatory documents on engineering equipment for the service model, and also develop a reference service model for 2017 and subsequent years. "

The stand of the company is part of the exposition of the IT center "Information City," organized by the Department of Information Technologies of the city of Moscow.

The Information City IT center, which opened at VDNKh on September 28, 2016, was visited by 4.5 thousand Muscovites in the first week. The interactive exposition "Smart City" in the exhibition area of the new pavilion introduces developments that help manage the modern metropolis.

The IT center was especially interested in men, among the first visitors to the pavilion there are more than 56 percent of them. 42 per cent of guests are between the ages of 18 and 35. Attendance peaked on Saturday.

The pavilion "Information City" is open daily, without interruptions, from 11:00 to 21:00. Tours of the exhibition are free, all exhibits can be touched.

The IT center program will include classes, workshops and educational shows for adults and school-age children. On the basis of the center, it will be possible to get a popular IT specialty for free, for example, learn how to develop sites and mobile applications or program in popular languages.

In the exhibition area for children prepared exciting games based on modern technologies. So, a car drawn on paper will be able to "come to life" in a video game - a racing simulator.

Selected tenant of the main cafe ("Summer")

OJSC VDNKh has chosen the tenant of the most attractive catering point. The site is located next to the boat station, which opened this summer at the pond with the Golden Ear Fountain. Irina Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya, Deputy General Director of VDNKh, told Izvestia that a non-stationary restaurant with 100 seats will appear there. The project will be managed by Mikhail Andreev, co-owner of the Luch, Karabas and Moloko restaurants.

As Irina Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya said, the platform at the boat station is "one of the most attractive catering points" at VDNKh, "a place of attraction for a large number of visitors." Negotiations on the placement on the territory of the exhibition center were conducted, according to her, with all the largest Moscow operators.

"We
reached a consensus with a number of very successful restaurateurs," said Irina Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya. - Perhaps in the future competitive procedures will be used to select operators, by the end of the year we will be determined with operators on the basis of negotiations and acceptance of the best proposals.

The agreement was concluded between VDNKh OJSC and Karabas LLC, which owns the Karabas restaurant, located on Lev Tolstoy Street in the Central District of Moscow. The owner of the establishment, Mikhail Andreev, is also a co-owner of the Luch and Milk restaurants. The amount of the lease was not disclosed. According to Mikhail Andreev, the Ginza network (Ginza Project, owner of Oki Doki, Pesto Cafe, Balcony, Spices & Joys, etc.) also claimed the site, but it offered a lower rental price.

The restaurant will open on August 2, 2014. There will be about 100 seats, but when holding major events - a corporate party or opera air - 250 people can be accommodated. The site will work only in the summer, like the boat station, but the operator is confident that the project will be profitable. The working name of the institution is "Summer."

"We had
a month to make an establishment on an empty plot of land," said Mikhail Andreev. - Next year it can work in a slightly different format. Therefore, the name is still working. But, most likely, it will not change.

In the 2014 season, the average check in a restaurant will be 700 rubles. According to Mikhail Andreev, the menu will include simple European dishes that are suitable for children, but will also be original, more expensive.

- 70% of the public who came to VDNKh until recently are visitors, - he said. - Many Muscovites got the impression that there is a "kebab paradise," and it will be necessary to win their trust. The categories of Muscovites who still come here are families with children, rollers, local residents. It would be strange in such conditions to make an institution with an average check for 2 thousand rubles.

According to Mikhail Andreev, in 2015, normal parking may appear at the entrance to VDNKh from Agricultural Street. Then the institution hopes to attract wealthier clients. The restaurant is going to hold corporate parties and other open-air events, inviting presenters, artists, children's animators for this.

The administration of VDNKh, according to Irina Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya, set before the tenant "rather strict conditions for pricing policy"[5].

  • We
were looking for restaurateurs who would be able to provide an ideal menu in quality for very comfortable money for the vast majority of VDNKh visitors, she said.

Earlier, the head of the department of trade and services, Alexei Nemeryuk, told Izvestia that Ginza would make a restaurant yard on the territory of VDNKh. Also, according to him, establishments of Arkady Novikov (Novikov Group owns establishments Bolshoi, Tchaikovsky, Attic, etc.), Andrei Dellos (owner of the restaurant Pushkin, Manon, Shinok, Turandot, etc., as well as Mu-Mu snack chains) can come to other restaurant sites. As the official noted, American fast food such as McDonald's and Burger King was not invited to VDNKh. At the same time, according to the press service of VDNKh, fast food in the center will be represented by such operators as What's Up Dog sausage, Le Poncello doughnut producer, Noodle Mama noodle, Paul French bakery, etc.

Larisa Yershova, deputy director for development and marketing of Fili Park, said that city parks are obliged to hold tenders when they buy something and pay money themselves, but when they provide their site to someone for commercial activities and receive money for it, auctions are not needed.

"Let's
say if a company wants to come to the park that will clean it up, it should go through a tender," she said. - And if it is catering, then the company simply comes and offers its services.

Andrey Petrakov, executive director of the Restcon consulting company, believes that VDNKh is an interesting platform for restaurateurs.

- If we take a 10-point scale, the located places at VDNKh can be estimated by 7-8 points, - said the expert. - If these are remote corners of VDNKh, where there are few people, of course, the assessment will be lower. The city centre has very high rental rates. For example, an area of 150 square meters. m can be rented for 900 thousand rubles. On the outskirts, the rates are less, but also often unbearable. The same area there is rented out at 750 thousand rubles a month. In addition, it is difficult to find a place on the periphery where there is a large flow of people.

Ice cream VDNKh

In July 2014, the management of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNH), together with Baskin Robbins, created a new taste of ice cream - VDNH. The treat goes on sale on August 1, 2014 and is sold only on the territory of the exhibition complex. Irina Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya, deputy general director of VDNKh, told Izvestia that new vanilla ice cream with chocolate mini-sweets can be bought in a cone, cup and as an ice cream cake. According to her, for its sales on the territory of the exhibition complex there will be a cafe "Moscow ice cream" and ice cream makers on bicycles[6].

Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya said that VDNKh expects that the new branded product will be "akin to GUM ice cream" in popularity.

- The appearance of branded ice cream is a natural part of our new marketing strategy: we strive to ensure that people come to us for new unique impressions and tastes, - said Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya.

Also, the Moscow Ice Cream cafe will open on the territory of the exhibition, operated by Baskin Robbins.

- The cafe will open next to the Square of Industry, between the pavilion of the Polytechnic Museum and the pavilion "Cosmos," - said Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya. - The cafe has 60 seats, including a veranda.

Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya added that ice creamers on bicycles will also start running through the territory of VDNKh.

According to her, the choice in favor of the taste of classic vanilla ice cream with chocolates "was mediated by the appearance of the objects of the exhibition."

- All our main pavilions are cream or snow-white. And in each there are surprises, highlights - chocolates that have become in our ice cream, - explained Gordina-Nevmerzhitskaya.

The exact price of branded ice cream is not yet known, but most likely it will be 80-100 rubles per 100 ml.

A source close to the project told Izvestia that Baskin Robbins developed a taste of VDNKh for free "as a gift for the 75th anniversary" of the exhibition complex. According to the interlocutor of the publication, no additional agreements, except for lease agreements, were concluded between the parties. The source also said that industrial production of ice cream has already begun at the company's factory (BRPI CJSC. - Izvestia).

By August 1, 2014, priority work should be completed in the pavilions "Cosmos" and "Ukraine," as well as in the Green Theater. Also, by August, it is planned to restore the Central Pavilion of the exhibition and place the historical exposition of VSHV-VDNH there.

Moscow Mayor's Office approved the parameters of reconstruction

In April 2013, it became known that the Moscow City Hall approved the main parameters for the reconstruction of the All-Russian Exhibition Center (All-Russian Exhibition Center). According to the newspaper "RBC daily," the volume of new construction within the framework of the project will be 685 thousand square meters.

According to the publication, 492 thousand square meters will be for commercial real estate, the rest - for underground parking lots.

In particular, there will appear:

  • aquarium,
  • water park,
  • pool,
  • congress hall,
  • exhibition pavilions,
  • two hotels,
  • rollerdrome,
  • climbing wall,
  • cinemas and museums.

The main part of the objects is supposed to be erected outside the historical part of the All-Russian Exhibition Center (outside its ring road).

In the historical zone, according to officials, only restoration will be carried out. Her budget will exceed $500 million. The total investment in the renovation of the All-Russian Exhibition Center will amount to about $2 billion.

Also, the authorities have developed an updated transport scheme that will serve the All-Russian Exhibition Center. The increase in machine traffic will be offset by new parking lots and the expansion of Wilhelm Peak and Agricultural streets. In addition, the authorities plan to launch minibuses to the All-Russian Exhibition Center from the Vladykino, Botanical Garden transport hubs and the southern VDNKh lobby.

By the summer of 2013, a project for organizing movement inside the exhibition center was to be approved.

In 2012, the construction complex doubted the throughput of transport infrastructure around the exhibition center and demanded to reduce the volume of commercial construction. However, as officials found out, the load on the street and road network seemed overestimated.

Putin transfers VDNH to Moscow from federal property

In November 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, transferred to the Moscow government 69.79% of the shares of GAO VVC from federal ownership. Prior to that, Moscow already owned 30% of the shares.

Financing planning for RUB 3.09 bln

It was reported that VDNKh will receive 3.09 billion rubles from the budget. The corresponding order was signed by the mayor of the city Sergei Sobyanin. Subsidies will be used, among other things, for counter-emergency work in 118 pavilions and structures, landscaping, summer sites, simulators and food courts. It is also planned to organize a chess club, bike rental and a universal sports ground.

2007: First Reconstruction Plan

The first plan for the reconstruction of the exhibition was presented in 2007, after which the parameters of the redevelopment of the site and the composition of the project investors changed several times.
