The police station of Meriden (Meriden Police Department) will begin to use drones to monitor parks as in warm and pleasant days more and more people appear there — the mayor Meriden Kevin Scarpati in the post on Facebook reported. It should be noted that the federal centers for control and prevention of diseases recommend to people to keep at not less than 6 feet from each other.

The police station of Savannah also decided to use drones to support quarantine measures. Only their UAVs do not trace violators, and remind people of measures of social distancing.

The police claim that it will not include the camera on these UAVs. Earlier they were used during investigations, but in the conditions of emergency the technical group suggested to use them as one more tool for maintenance of public security.

The chief of police of Roy Minter noted that drones allow to limit contacts of employees with the public, at the same time continuing to distribute information. Drones were already used in the park Forsythe and soon should appear in other parts of the city.

UAVs will be used in all areas where there is a possibility of accumulation of a large number of people — Minter explained — whether it be parks or even basketball platforms.[1]
