2020
75% increase in storage capacity and 66% increase in computing capacity
Stack Group is increasing its infrastructure in the M1Cloud cloud annually, as storage capacity increased by 75% by the end of 2020, and computing systems increased by 66%. The company announced this on September 9, 2021. This high growth rate is mainly due to the needs of current customers who are actively testing various models of building the IT landscape and are well aware of the capabilities of Stack Group. In addition to the needs of current customers, Stack Group, having great technological potential and understanding the needs of customers, introduced services that are in demand, including from the external market.
We value a high level of business confidence and feel a steady demand for infrastructure services. The cloud market is continuously and intensively growing not only in the volume of the introduced infrastructure, but also in monetary terms - 20-25% annually. In fact, clouds have become a basic part of the development of the digital economy, this imposes a certain responsibility on service providers. In 2020, growing in the context of a general decline in economic growth was somewhat more difficult. On the one hand, it was necessary to control the growth of costs for the main components, and on the other, to apply support measures for a number of partners from the most affected sectors of the economy. All the more valuable for us is the unprecedented growth that we were able to achieve in 2020. This is a conscious decision of a responsible market player, who puts a client-oriented approach at the forefront, - commented Evgeny Gorokhov, co-founder of the M1Cloud and managing director of Stack Group. |
The demand for cloud infrastructure is growing, because, in addition to reducing capital costs, clouds allow the implementation of complex technological projects by a professional service provider. In 2021, the business begins to work on deferred IT projects, realizing deferred demand.
Growth in the share of consumption of protected services M1Cloud up to 40% of total revenue
The share of consumption of secure cloud services M1Cloud Stack Group in 2020 increased from 25% to 40% of the company's total revenue, which is due to the high level of market demand for solutions with a high level of reliability and regulatory readiness. This was reported on August 19, 2021 by Stack Group.
"Stack Group has combined both the benefits of using a cloud platform and the full range of regulatory measures necessary to ensure the security of personal data in the cloud. And then, in 2016, and now protected under 152 Federal Law, infrastructure is in demand from business. In the Stack Group portfolio, secure cloud services show the most dynamic growth. The demand for these services is explained by the desire of companies to comply with the requirements of the law and ensure a high level of personal data security. The slightly more modest growth of traditional infrastructure solutions is also associated with the desire of business to bring its information systems in line with the law, which led to the transfer of part of the capacities to a secure perimeter, "commented Evgeny Gorokhov, co-founder of the M1Cloud, managing director of Stack Group. |
The highly reliable cloud M1Cloud certified for the placement of personal data information systems in accordance with the requirements of the Order of the FSTEC of Russia No. 21 at all levels of information security up to and including UZ1, as well as for the placement of state information systems in accordance with the requirements of the Order of the FSTEC of Russia No. 17 for all classes of GIS security up to and including K1. To ensure the security of communication channels, cryptographic protection is used in accordance with the requirements of the FSB of Russia.
The secure infrastructure is built on the basis of geodistributed data centers in Moscow to implement a catastrophic solution for processing critical data.
Stack Group Cloud Infrastructure Growth by 66%
At the end of 2020, the company Stack Group increased its volume cloudy infrastructures by 66%, which is noticeably ahead of market averages. This was reported on April 9, 2021 by Stack Group.
The company is engaged in both scaling time-tested solutions and introducing new services created on the basis of the actual client feedback. A relatively large existing audience of enterprise customers and deep integration into the business of customers can significantly reduce market research costs. An additional advantage of this approach, "from the client," is that the customer receives a customer-oriented service, as a rule, meeting his current needs, the company noted.
Evgeny Gorokhov, Managing Director of Stack Group (M1Cloud), assessed the current market situation: "Over the past ten years, the main players in the cloud market have passed the stage of formation, built a portfolio of services, standardized the offer and rebuilt the main business processes. The process of consolidation began, a number of major players intensified due to the absorption of "brothers." Two pronounced approaches stood out in the market: on the one hand, provider companies that use the "from the client" approach, where the client is the center of the relationship system, grow quite quickly. And on the other hand, in the past few years, Russian Internet giants have entered the cloud market, providing external customers with the opportunity to use the services that were originally created for domestic consumption. Using huge technological potential, such companies regularly expand their portfolio of innovative platform services. Products typically have a high degree of management automation, multiple availability zones, and a high level of scalability. At the forefront of this approach is a product that meets most of the needs of most customers and often requires a restructuring of the company's internal processes, that is, a product-based approach. If you look at the market as a whole, then we can say with confidence that with the general similarity of services formed by providers practicing both of these approaches, services are more complementary than competitive. " |
As noted in the Stack Group, the market has a high level of business confidence and a stable demand for infrastructure services. Not only infrastructure services are in great demand, but also the entire range of cloud services. The cloud market is growing continuously and intensively, both in monetary terms - 20-30% annually, and in the volume of the introduced cloud infrastructure. The high demand for the service model, government initiatives in the field of IT industry support and the focus on the creation of hybrid distributed landscapes suggest that the growth of the cloud market will continue in the next few years.

The service is designed to back up physical and virtual machines, remote site application data, and replication to the professional provider cloud to reduce possible infrastructure downtime and minimize the risk of data loss to business continuity.
BaaS benefits include the ability to back up and replicate to a remote site. Veeam Cloud Connect allows you to provide backup storage sites as well as replica storage sites for external customers, and in the event of incidents on the end user side, you can run virtual machines from a replica on the service provider infrastructure in minutes. Many work remotely and there is not always the ability to connect to the corporate network, so it is very important when the agent jobs of the workstation go directly to the cloud repository - this does not require a VPN, you only need to configure the job, and backups of your workstation will be sent directly to the provider's repository over the Internet over an encrypted connection. - said Irina Lenzner, technical specialist at Cloud, Veeam Software |
In the release of Veeam 10 version, the functionality was significantly expanded. Among the features of managing backups based on Veeam, the company highlighted the following: Linux Backup Proxy for VMware, which duplicates functionality for Windows, VIX for Linux is an API from VMware in a script from Veeam, which allows you to restore files directly to virtual machines that do not have network connectivity, high-speed copying with NAS Backup and other functionality. The latest version is already in use in the M1cloud cloud.
Analyzing the current trends of the global Backup & Replication market, along with traditional backups, additional services are expected to develop, such as: information security services, monitoring and resource planning, tools for managing backups in cloud and on-anticipate environments within the hybrid IT infrastructure, automation of backup and recovery tasks, as well as services that support the backup of modern databases and containerized applications. The primary concern for companies is that data can be fully recovered within minutes to reduce business application downtime. It becomes important for companies to be able to move data freely in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Veeam-based BaaS allows you to not only create and store backups and quickly run virtual machines on a DR site, but also easily migrate data via Cloud Connect from physical or virtual infrastructure to the cloud. - supplemented by Alexander Molin, Deputy Director for Business Development M1Cloud (Stack Group) |

If we consider the so-called compliance tasks, then, first of all, when using a certified protected cloud for the placement of ISDS and GIS, the companies comply with the requirements of the law, comply with industry, corporate and partner information security standards, as a result of which legal, economic and reputational risks, since the company ensures compliance both with the requirements of regulatory documents, so the level of information security required by companies with a lower level of costs for information security measures, - said Vladimir Lebedev, director of business development M1Cloud (Stack Group), spoke about the practical business tasks that are solved using a certified cloud IT infrastructure. |
152-FZ virtual Valery Tsyganov The head of the M1Cloud Information Security Department (Stack Group) spoke about the M1Cloud cloud protected by IT infrastructure for hosting ISDS and GIS. According to him cloudy , the decision M1Cloud already certified according to the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation - a certificate of GIS K1 and ISPD UZ1 for "M1 DPC " and a certificate of UZ1 for the data center were issued. DataPro Accordingly, it is possible to place and start the work of GIS and ISDS (typical solutions) in a protected M1Cloud cloud within 2-3 working days. When placing information systems in a secure M1Cloud loop, customers receive the required set of funds on the service provider side (CSR information protection), which meets all the requirements of GIS K1 and ISDS UZ1, certificates and licenses, advanced technologies, modern equipment and, software the ability to cost a small staff of IT and information security specialists, consumption of IT resources and information security services as a service with payment for the necessary allocated resources, fast scalability for the required tasks, as well as 24/7 round-the-clock monitoring and technical support.
For his part, Pavel Korostelev, head of the Security Code product promotion department, spoke about the features of the Security Code solutions used in a secure cloud at the server and virtualization levels.
If we talk about the process of fulfilling the requirements for the protection of CII, then it consists of several stages: deciding whether the organization is a subject CII, creating a categorization commission, determining critical processes, decomposing processes into CII objects, categorizing CII objects and protecting CII objects. At the same time, the protection of CII facilities will require the creation of an appropriate unit, the development of a protection system and informing the NCCC about information security incidents, - said Pavel Korostelev. |
As he explained, if part of the CII object is located in the cloud, then the tasks of protecting the cloud part of the significant CII object are divided between the customer company and the service provider, respectively, the service provider also becomes the subject of the CII.
The requirements for the protection of CII objects are very similar to the requirements for the protection of GIS and ISDS, thus, the provider already has a certified segment - a good help for negotiations with the provider on the topic of CII, since it will not require it to implement a protected circuit from scratch, which reduces financial and time costs, - concluded Pavel Korostelev. |

According to Kommersant, citing top managers Stack and Equinix, the companies have agreed to jointly provide a service for localizing personal data of Russians.
The solution called M1Cloud allows you to allocate resources in the Russian Stack infrastructure, which will be directly related to the global network of Equinix data centers. The service will help reduce data storage costs, and the amount of savings can range from 10% to multiple indicators - it all depends on the peculiarities of building the information systems of each company, Stack noted.
According to Stack Development Director Vladimir Lebedev, the cost of transferring the entire infrastructure can range from 5 to 10 million rubles and more, and companies will also have to spend tens of millions of rubles to create a full-fledged IT infrastructure. The M1Cloud solution, which allows you to migrate not the entire infrastructure, but the necessary components, helps reduce company costs, time to comply with the requirements of the law and simplify technical implementation, the product developers say.
Partners have already begun negotiations with potential customers, among whom, according to the publication, there is a large financial and software company. Their names have not been revealed.[1]
Stack Group CEO Danilyants Alexey is convinced that Russian commercial enterprises and government agencies cannot do without infrastructure services of domestic data centers, which, along with foreign service providers, will occupy their niche in the now emerging IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) market. Firstly, foreign players, even those as authoritative as Amazon Web Services, will not be able to provide the proper level of customer support in Russia, and secondly, our authorities have created a positive background for the development of local data center service providers with the latest legislative initiatives. We are talking, in particular, about tightening legal norms in the field of data storage and processing, prescribed in the federal laws of FZ-149, FZ-152 and FZ-294. According to the head of Stack Group, the ban on the initial processing of personal data outside the Russian Federation will push many enterprises to transfer their information assets from abroad to data centers located in our country. Finally, many companies fear likely sanctions from the West, and this is an additional incentive to return their data to Russian jurisdiction[2].
The company's data centers focus on infrastructure services, data storage services, placement of information systems with personal data in accordance with the current legislation, as well as the formation of a hybrid customer infrastructure. True, in the case of the M1Cloud Hybrid Infrastructure service, a hybrid infrastructure should be understood not as a classic combination of public and private cloud environments, but as a package offer for customers - at the same time using racks to accommodate their equipment and buying virtualized M1Cloud resources.
This, according to the idea of the service provider, will allow customers to build flexible configurations of IT systems and ensure smooth migration to the cloud. In the future, the company's virtual data center can also start providing SaaS services if customers actively receive relevant requests.
