On April 24, 2017, Stack Group announced the development of the Personal Account functionality for clients of the M1 data center and the corporate M1Cloud cloud.

  • temperature indicators in the installation area of the server racks
  • Power consumption of all racks of your company.

The "personal account" provides mechanisms for protecting information, including access according to the role scheme, where each client representative can use only those sections and functions that the management will determine on the customer's side.

Mechanisms are in effect:

• user authentication by individual login and password,
• limitation of session duration in case of no activity in the system for more than 30 minutes and others.

System for protecting personal data in the cloud M1Cloud

Stack Group has launched into commercial operation a software and hardware complex of technical means for protecting personal data information systems (ISPDN), located in the virtual data center of the M1Cloud, in a disaster-proof version at two sites in Moscow. The established secure IT infrastructure of Stack Group fully complies with the requirements of the Federal Law of N152-FZ from the 27.07.2006 "On Personal Data" and complies with the requirements of regulatory documents of the FSTEC and the FSB to ensure the security of personal data. Investments in the project amounted to about 50 million rubles.

The created complex includes such security components as: firewalls, equipment that provides cryptographic protection of communication channels, intrusion detection tools, protection of the virtual environment, protection against unauthorized access of the management infrastructure, antivirus protection of the management infrastructure, security analysis and others. Hardware and software protection tools from the manufacturer "Security Code" were chosen as technical solutions, which allows you to have unified access and monitoring tools, as well as receive vendor support for the entire complex of technical tools.

The components of the circuit provide all the necessary levels of protection of the ISPDN: UZ-1, UZ-2, UZ-3, UZ-4 (in accordance with Order of the FSTEC of the Russian Federation No. 21 of 18.02.2013 "On Approval of the Composition and Content of Organizational and Technical Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Data during their Processing in Personal Data Information Systems"), which allows processing, among other things, special categories of personal data.

Certificate of Compliance with Information Security Requirements "for GIS and ISDS

In the spring of 2017, Stack Group successfully certified an automated secure information processing environment in the data center. The obtained "Certificate of Compliance with Information Security Requirements" testifies to the full fulfillment of the requirements imposed on the protected environment by Orders FSTEC No. 17 of 11.02.2013 "On Approval of Requirements for the Protection of Information Not Constituting a State Secret Contained in State Information Systems" (including amendments to Order No. 27 of 15.02.2017) and No. 21 of 18.02.2013 "On Approval of the Composition and Content of Organizational and Technical Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Data when Processing Personal Data in Information Systems."

This certificate certifies that the Stack Group secure circuit meets the information security requirements for state information systems (GIS) of the first class of protection (K1), as well as the first level of protection is provided (UZ1) processed personal data in information systems (ISDS), which allows you to process, among other things, special categories of personal data (data on race, nationality, political views, religious and philosophical beliefs, health status, intimate life).

2016: Expansion of the functionality of the interactive "personal account"

Stack Group launched at the end of 2016 an updated version of the "personal account" with advanced functionality for customers placing their information systems data center "M1" in the corporate cloud. " M1Cloud Access to the "personal account" is organized according to the role scheme, where each customer representative will have access only to those sections and functions that the management will determine on the customer's side.

Now in the "personal account" you can order an "electronic pass" to the territory of the data center, which is issued in several clicks: it is necessary to indicate the purpose and time of the visit, as well as imported/exported equipment.

Among the new cabinet options is the ability to track the execution status of your requests by technical support.

For more complete and timely informing clients, the "personal account" contains up-to-date documents that are often in demand by clients, including during technical work.

In 2017, several more functional updates are planned, including the possibility of obtaining automatic reports on the engineering parameters of the operation of the data center, for example, temperature and humidity in those points of the server room where the equipment of a particular client is located.

2015: Launch of the M1Cloud

On September 14, 2015, it became known that a Russian supplier IT infrastructures Stack Group had agreed with an American global interconnect provider data centers Equinix and to launch a joint project to store data in the cloud, which would help international companies follow Russia the law banning the storage of personal information of citizens of the country abroad.

According to Kommersant, citing top managers Stack and Equinix, the companies have agreed to jointly provide a service for localizing personal data of Russians.

The solution called M1Cloud allows you to allocate resources in the Russian Stack infrastructure, which will be directly related to the global network of Equinix data centers. The service will help reduce data storage costs, and the amount of savings can range from 10% to multiple indicators - it all depends on the peculiarities of building the information systems of each company, Stack noted.

According to Stack Development Director Vladimir Lebedev, the cost of transferring the entire infrastructure can range from 5 to 10 million rubles and more, and companies will also have to spend tens of millions of rubles to create a full-fledged IT infrastructure. The M1Cloud solution, which allows you to migrate not the entire infrastructure, but the necessary components, helps reduce company costs, time to comply with the requirements of the law and simplify technical implementation, the product developers say.

Partners have already begun negotiations with potential customers, among whom, according to the publication, there is a large financial and software company. Their names have not been revealed.^[1]

Stack Group CEO Danilyants Alexey is convinced that Russian commercial enterprises and government agencies cannot do without infrastructure services of domestic data centers, which, along with foreign service providers, will occupy their niche in the now emerging IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) market. Firstly, foreign players, even those as authoritative as Amazon Web Services, will not be able to provide the proper level of customer support in Russia, and secondly, our authorities have created a positive background for the development of local data center service providers with the latest legislative initiatives. We are talking, in particular, about tightening legal norms in the field of data storage and processing, prescribed in the federal laws of FZ-149, FZ-152 and FZ-294. According to the head of Stack Group, the ban on the initial processing of personal data outside the Russian Federation will push many enterprises to transfer their information assets from abroad to data centers located in our country. Finally, many companies fear likely sanctions from the West, and this is an additional incentive to return their data to Russian jurisdiction^[2].

The company's data centers focus on infrastructure services, data storage services, placement of information systems with personal data in accordance with the current legislation, as well as the formation of a hybrid customer infrastructure. True, in the case of the M1Cloud Hybrid Infrastructure service, a hybrid infrastructure should be understood not as a classic combination of public and private cloud environments, but as a package offer for customers - at the same time using racks to accommodate their equipment and buying virtualized M1Cloud resources.

This, according to the idea of ​ ​ the service provider, will allow customers to build flexible configurations of IT systems and ensure smooth migration to the cloud. In the future, the company's virtual data center can also start providing SaaS services if customers actively receive relevant requests.
