Parus-Electro is a Russian developer and manufacturer of uninterruptible power supply systems under the Svyaz Engineering brand, as well as other converter equipment (data for January 2022).
Products
As of the beginning of 2022, the company's product portfolio includes AC and DC uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), batteries, telecommunications cabinets, energy-saving LED lighting and other equipment. "Sail electro" performs the whole range of works, including development, production, supply, commissioning and maintenance of solutions for power supply systems of infrastructure equipment.
History
2024: Rosatom bought 50% of Parus-Electro
Rosatom bought 50% of the manufacturer of chargers for electric vehicles "Sail Electro." This deal became known in mid-April 2024.
As Kommersant writes with reference to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL), RuSat Automated Control Systems JSC (RASU, part of Rosatom) became the owner of a 50% stake in the authorized capital of Parus-Electro. 25% each now belongs to Vladimir Khlebnikov and Denis Pavlyuk, whose shares were previously measured at 55% and 45%, respectively.
It is assumed that investing in Parus-Electro will allow Rosatom to expand its portfolio of products in the field of electric vehicles and create their single ecosystem. In addition to charging stations for electric cars, Parus-Electro produces other power conversion equipment for various power industries, including generation and distribution of energy. Partnership with Rosatom in this area implies the implementation of joint projects in the nuclear industry.
We saw in the state corporation a system partner with an existing strategy until 2045 and with wide export prospects, which fit into our own strategy - to become an industry national champion and export to a number of non-CIS countries, where we also take a significant market share, - Vladimir Khlebnikov told the publication. |
Dmitry Babansky from SBS Consulting, commenting on the deal between Parus-Electro and Rosatom, noted that synergy of the new business is possible both with the sales business of Rosatom (sale of electricity) and with the production of batteries (continued operation of lithium-ion batteries in electric charging stations). According to the expert, the market for charging stations for electric vehicles is promising, given Russia's big plans for electrification of transport.[1]
2019
According to information for 2019, in the line of UPS "Parus" produces various devices with indicators from 1000 VA to 1560 kVA in one design, modular UPS on power units 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 kVA, industrial uninterruptible power supply systems with protection up to IP43 standard, as well as container solutions for guaranteed power supply.
In the "solar" segment, the company produces inverters for industrial generation from 750 kW to 1250 kW, devices in the container version - up to 2.5 MW with a transformer and switchgear.
In the direction of charging equipment for electric vehicles, slow AC charging stations up to 46 kW, fast DC charging stations up to 200 kW, systems with a modular design based on their own modules, controllers for integration into smart city systems are produced.
2018
The revenue of the Russian company Parus-Electro, known mainly as a manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), at the end of 2018 amounted to approximately 1.4 billion rubles[2]
Compared to 2017, the relative growth of the business was approximately 15%. This is significantly less than in recent years, when the business of "Parus" annually at least doubled. If in 2014, according to Kontur.focus, its revenue reached 75.6 million rubles, then in 2015 it grew to 251.9 million rubles. (+ 233%). At the end of 2016, revenue was already at the level of 546.9 million rubles. (+ 117%), at the end of 2017 - 1.22 billion rubles. (+ 123%).
At the same time, Parus itself is satisfied with the dynamics of its development. The company specializes in the most expensive systems, the so-called online UPS - with AC to DC and back to increase reliability and reduce (to zero) response time. Their market in Russia in Parus is estimated at 11 billion rubles. per year, believing that they have already occupied about 12% on it.
