2024: Decision to scale delivery pilot

Avito Delivery and 5Post decided to scale the delivery pilot to the stores of X5 Group retail chains, which took place over the past 9 months. X5 Group announced this on April 10, 2024. This option allows Avito customers to buy and sell goods with shipment and delivery at checkpoints and at the checkouts of the Pyaterochka and Perekrestok retail chains, not only within their city, but in Russia, while ensuring the security of transactions for both parties.

During the pilot period, more than 1.8 million orders were delivered by the 5Post service as part of a partnership with Avito Delivery, the most active were residents, and Moscow St. Petersburg , Leningrad Region at the same time, the most remote city from which the order was sent was. Tomsk The most popular commodity category of parcels in the Avito classification was "and Clothes footwear accessories" - 40% of the total number of shipments. Avito sellers prefer to send their orders in Perekrestok stores, but buyers, when receiving orders, make their choice in favor of the Pyaterochka retail chain.

As part of the scaling of the project, Avito users have access to more than 20 thousand points of receipt and issue of shipments located in 3700 settlements, which is 63 regions of the Russian Federation. Since 2024, Avito Delivery via 5Post has become available to residents of Siberia. Delivery times in the main directions were optimized, and the cost of goods available for delivery to checkpoints was increased from 15 to 30 thousand rubles. 5Post finalized the client's path when sending an order through checkpoints, which made it possible to reduce the time for transferring an order to delivery. We remind you that when ordering an item at the checkpoint, you can use the cart option and put together several different items from one seller into one package.

5Post and Avito plan to continue scaling the network of receipt and delivery points, increasing the cost of goods available for shipment through checkpoints and continuing to optimize delivery times in all settlements, launching additional joint promotional activities aimed at customer loyalty and new business projects.

2023: Pilot project for delivery to 5Post stations

Since June 2023, as part of a joint pilot project, Avito users can hand over and receive parcels at a limited number of points in all regions of Russia served by 5Post (part of the X5 Group), a service with a large network for the delivery of online orders through checkpoints and points of issue. X5 Group announced this on July 3, 2023. In the future, when making a positive decision on the results of the pilot, Avito will also be able to hand over and receive orders at more than 13,000 points of issue and more than 5,000 checkpoints located in the Pyaterochka and Perekrestok retail chains.

Avito Delivery allows platform customers to buy and sell goods outside of their city, and also secures deals for both parties. Transactions between residents of different regions are especially actively growing. So, in two years, the number of orders through Avito Delivery has grown 10 times.

More than 60 million users interact on our platform every month. The inclusion of checkpoints in our partner network expands the capabilities of both intra-city and inter-city Avito Delivery: this will further bring the points of sending or receiving orders closer to our customers. Now, going to Pyaterochka or Perekrestok near the house for groceries, it will be possible to immediately pick up the order from Avito. And, importantly, the work schedule of stores is more convenient than the work schedule of points of issue of orders - including 24-hour working points, - said Sergey Pustylnik, director of logistics in Avito.

Users will be able to see all available checkpoints and 5Post points and choose the most convenient point at checkout. At the start, goods worth up to 15 thousand rubles will be available for delivery to checkpoints, in the future the maximum order price will be increased to 150 thousand rubles. The maximum weight of the shipment shall not exceed 15 kg. When ordering an item at the checkpoint, you can use the cart option and arrange several different items from one seller into one package.

Usually, the delivery time depends on the remoteness of the region, while at the end of 2022 the average delivery speed through the 5Post was three days, which is almost half the all-Russian indicator. The shelf life of the order at the point of issue will be 7 days with the possibility of extension for another week. In case of difficulties with receiving or sending a parcel, employees of the Pyaterochka and Perekrestok retail chains will always be ready to help.

The choice of posts and points of issue 5Post among other points of receipt will be available to Avito users when ordering from private sellers with the "Documents checked" or "There is an account on Public services" icon. You can get the "Documents Verified" icon if you pass the passport, driver's license or Tinkoff ID check. The mark "There is a profile on Public services" is issued after confirming the authenticity of the profile through the personal account on Public services.

The difference from receiving an order through a checkpoint from a similar process in PVZ or with courier delivery is that the order cannot be refused on the spot. If the product is damaged, the user needs to write in support of Avito: in the situation, they will figure it out and help issue compensation.
