Launch of Avito Branded Delivery

Avito, after a successful pilot project, will launch Avito Branded Delivery: this option will allow points of issue of orders to connect to Avito Delivery directly and cooperate with the platform for receiving and issuing shipments. The number of such points should be 1,500 by the end of 2024. In this case, the shipment of goods will be carried out by logistics partners who will meet the requirements of the platform. The company announced this on March 6, 2024.

Avito Delivery allows users to buy and sell goods outside of their city, and also ensures deal security for both parties. Transactions between residents of different regions are especially actively growing. So, in 2023, the number of orders doubled, and the number of ads with connected delivery increased by one and a half times and exceeded 93 million. Goods are delivered to more than 54 thousand points of issue of orders throughout Russia - wide coverage provides cooperation with large logistics companies of the country.

And if earlier the points of issue of orders could connect to the Avito Delivery network only through a logistics partner - the owner of the network, his technical solutions and legal registration, now they will be able to do it directly. The pilot was launched in early October 2023 and tested at 100 points of issue of orders in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.

Owners of multi-brand points for issuing orders will be able to directly connect to the Avito Delivery network for free, as well as open single-brand Avito points, working with the platform under a direct contract. For March 2024, the company is preparing to launch in April 2024 a personal account and software developed for owners and employees of PVZ specifically as part of Avito Branded Delivery. It will be possible to conduct all the necessary operations for receiving and issuing shipments, as well as interact with different delivery services. In the future, until the end of 2024, it will be possible to track profitability, keep financial statements and receive business analytics.

Delivery between points will be carried out by logistics providers who most fully meet Avito's requirements for terms, quality of work and tariffs. The first of the connected will be Logsis, in the future the partner pool will expand. Avito will monitor and monitor the quality of delivery.

Buyers and sellers will have another option for choosing within Avito Delivery and there will be more points for receiving and issuing orders within walking distance. Avito users when making a delivery will see these points on the map as Avito, along with points from other delivery services.

If the buyer chooses the delivery to the PVZ, designated as Avito, then the seller will have a message that the order has been made and it must be handed over to one of the points of the network in his city. The list of available items will be available in the application, as always when issued through Avito Delivery. Details can be clarified about each point: hours and work and a description of the passage. Cross-deliveries between points of issue of different services (for example, to be handed over at Avito, and to be received at the Russian Post office) are not planned at the first stages of the project development.

The connection and appearance of new PVZs on the network will begin in the second quarter of 2024, the landing for partners, which will host details - how to join the project, and the offer agreement, will be published on Avito's website.

Ability for legal entities to send orders to private customers

Avito on December 13, 2023 connected the opportunity for legal entities to send orders to private customers through SDEK under Avito Delivery to more than 4,000 branches of the operator throughout the country.

Any professional seller who has been verified by details on Avito and received the status of "Company" can send the order to the client through SDEK within the framework of Avito Delivery. The operator is connected in the seller's business profile settings. Sending and delivery of orders through SDEK under Avito Delivery is already available for a significant part of the product categories.

We see that the ability to purchase and ship orders through the Avito Delivery secure transaction mechanism is attracting an increasing number of professional sellers and buyers. In 2023 alone, the number of transactions through Avito Delivery in the B2C segment doubled compared to 2022. Connecting SDEK to Avito Delivery for legal entities will help our sellers, who previously worked independently with the operator, to actively develop sales on the platform, and to buyers will ensure the security of transactions and additional convenience in receiving orders near the house, - commented Avito Logistics Director Sergei Pustylnik.

The process is arranged identical to B2C delivery through other already available operators for sending parcels to private customers - Russian Post, EXMAIL, Boxberry and Yandex Delivery. When ordering, the buyer chooses SDEK in the delivery methods and indicates a convenient department for him in the application or on Avito's website. The seller immediately receives the track number, which will need to be named in the nearest branch of the SDEK, through which he will send the parcel. To significantly speed up the order reception time at the SDEK department, the seller can print and paste a special label with basic shipping information on the packaging of the goods.

Shipments through SDEK are also subject to the terms of the extended return period from Avito. It is up to 15 days, during which the buyer, having received the order, can check and make sure that the product is suitable for him. The order is paid for using the secure transaction mechanism. This ensures that the value of the order will be reserved in the buyer's account and transferred to the seller by the bank after verification and confirmation by the buyer of receipt of the goods or in case of cancellation of the transaction. If the buyer refuses the goods within 15 days and returns them to the department, all the cost, including the delivery price, comes back to his card.

The seller can send an order to the client if he meets the requirements of the SDEK for transportation. In particular, the size of the shipment must correspond to the permissible dimensions and be no more than 125,000 in terms of the product of the length, width and height of the parcel. In this case, the maximum length of one of the sides should not exceed 149 cm. The maximum order weight is up to 25 kg.

Launch delivery to 5Post stations

Since June 2023, as part of a joint pilot project, Avito users can hand over and receive parcels at a limited number of points in all regions of Russia served by 5Post (part of the X5 Group), a service with a large network for the delivery of online orders through checkpoints and points of issue. X5 Group announced this on July 3, 2023.

Avito Delivery allows platform customers to buy and sell goods outside of their city, and also secures deals for both parties. Transactions between residents of different regions are especially actively growing. So, in two years, the number of orders through Avito Delivery has grown 10 times. Read more here.

Launch of cross-delivery on the Russian market for private users

Avito announced on December 5, 2022 that it was launching cross-delivery on the Russian market for private users, with the help of which the seller would be able to send an order through one delivery service, and the buyer would be able to receive the goods through another. At the beginning of December 2022, the function is available to a limited number of users for orders from private sellers. In the future, cross-delivery will become available to all Avito users.

Cross-delivery is a way of delivering goods from the seller to the buyer, combining the capabilities of different logistics operators. The process of processing and delivering the order will be carried out sequentially by two services, that is, the seller will send the package through one company, and the buyer will receive another at the point of issue.

Cross-shipping will make items available to more customers. Also, sellers will be able to access a more convenient delivery service to send an order, regardless of the buyer's choice. In the process of confirming the order, you can select the nearest PVZ to hand over the goods. This is important in cases where, for example, the seller in the city does not have a delivery service preferred for the buyer. Sending an order as before will be free for the seller.

The first participants in the launch were Russian Post and EXMAIL. In the future, it is planned to connect other logistics operators - primarily Boxberry, DPD and PickPoint. At the launch stage, cross-delivery will be available only for transactions between private users in categories available for sending to checkpoints, the cost of goods should not exceed 20,000 rubles. For professional sellers of the platform, Avito plans to connect such an option in 2023.

Cross-delivery works in Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Omsk, Perm, Ufa, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and Samara - any combinations are available between these cities. Gradually, the number of cities connected to the option will expand.

Each month, logistics partners deliver several million orders with Avito Delivery. Cross-delivery is the next step that will help all users set up the way to send and receive packages even more freely and flexibly. The company was preparing to launch - the team developed an order status tracking model that takes into account the complicated route and the increased number of events, changed user interfaces and created a version of the calculation of deadlines and tariffs. In addition, all changes were also included in the interfaces of interaction with logistics partners who completed a similar amount of tasks on their side and conducted training for employees. The company is grateful to the launch participants - Mail Russia and the network of Avito × EXMAIL points of issue - who jointly implemented a similar mechanism for transactions between individuals on the Russian market. We are waiting for the connection of other delivery services,
noted Sergey Pustylnik, director of logistics in Avito.
File:Aquote2.png

The presence or absence of a cross-delivery option will be determined automatically for each particular transaction, depending on the location of the seller and buyer. You can track delivery as before on the order page in your personal account or in the Avito application.

All protective procedures and checks will apply with this method of obtaining goods. The secure transaction mechanism will remain the same - after the buyer pays for the goods on the platform with a card, the partner bank freezes this amount. Money is transferred to the seller only after the buyer accepts the goods. If the buyer refuses the item, the purchase and delivery costs are returned to his card, and the item is sent to the seller at Avito's expense. In addition, the employees of the points of issue will still check the completeness of the goods and its external compliance with the announcement when sending and receiving.

Plan of investment in delivery 3.5 billion rubles

Avito's company on July 21, 2022 announced that it would invest 3.5 billion rubles in delivery in 2022.

The total number of users who connected Avito Delivery reached 45 million, and delivery volumes for the year increased 7 times. Therefore, Avito is actively developing both a branded network of points of issue and new delivery options for both private sellers and legal entities.

Most of our customers use delivery. For clear, fine-tuned work, a huge infrastructure is required - both digital and physical - and constant work on debugging all processes. For us, Avito Delivery is one of the key areas of development of our platform, which we will continue to improve. Almost every month we connect new options and enter into new logistics partnerships. Behind this is the huge proactive work of a team that understands how Avito Delivery is important to users - from mothers selling children's things and binding hand-made sweaters to order, to Russian entrepreneurs, for whom Avito is the main platform for business, "said Ivan Guz, Avito's deputy general director.
File:Aquote2.png

In 2022, the number of individuals who connected the sale option through Avito Delivery in their ads increased 5.5 times compared to 2021, and the companies that connected Avito Delivery became 2.5 times more.

Avito Delivery allows you to resolve the issue of safe transfer of goods without meeting in person with the seller, which significantly increases the number of potential customers. In fact, a safe deal is ensured through its own delivery. After the buyer selects and pays for the item on the platform with a card, the partner bank freezes this amount.

Money is transferred to the card to the seller only after the buyer accepts the item. If the buyer refuses the item, the purchase and delivery costs are returned to the card, and the item is sent to the seller at Avito's expense.

Avito Delivery service was launched in March 2018. As of July 2022, goods are delivered to more than 1,100 cities and 21,000 settlements in Russia, providing online commerce opportunities for residents of even remote parts of the country. The most popular categories in delivery through PVZ in May 2022 were "Clothes, shoes, accessories," "Spare parts and accessories for cars" and "Children's clothing and shoes."
