The Ministry of Education and Science spent 12 billion rubles on engineering schools in 2 years

Within the framework of the federal project "Advanced Engineering Schools" in Russia, from 2022 to mid-2024, approximately 50 relevant structures were formed. About 22 thousand children were trained in these schools. Such data on July 1, 2024 was published by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov spoke about the implementation of the Advanced Engineering Schools project. According to him, in two years the department spent about 12 billion rubles on the initiative. At the same time, 160 high-tech industrial partners were involved in the project, who invested 19.5 billion rubles in school development programs. About 1 billion rubles were provided by the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

This initiative started with us in 2022, and I must say that it worked ahead of the curve, because in June 2022 we created 30 first engineering schools from 15 regions, "says the head of the Ministry of Education and Science.
File:Aquote2.png

Falkov emphasizes that Russian universities, with the support of the state and the participation of technological partners, are opening schools with modern laboratories and experimental industries. By mid-2024, more than 7.5 thousand engineers improved their qualifications on the basis of these schools, and 7.6 thousand teachers - at partner enterprises. In each engineering school, vocational guidance work is carried out with schoolchildren. Such training, it is claimed, promotes interest in basic subjects - physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology.

The initiative solves two main tasks. This is a renewal of the higher education system, as well as ensuring technological sovereignty. It is expected that by 2030 the number of engineering schools in Russia will reach 100. It is also noted that the project gives good results. In the future, it is planned to focus on implementation - in order to "learn how to quickly turn ideas into technologies, products, services."[1]

Putin called the volume of co-financing of engineering schools in Russia - 60 billion rubles

On February 16, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin named the amount of co-financing of engineering schools in Russia - 60 billion rubles. The head of state supported the idea of extending this project.

File:Aquote1.png
We plan that in 2024, 2025, 2026, - until 2026, it has already been decided to extend - at least 250 of our large high-tech industries will take part in this work, "Putin said during a meeting with students and employees of industrial enterprises of the Chelyabinsk region on the territory of the industrial park" Stankomash "(quoted by Interfax).

Vladimir Putin called the volume of co-financing of engineering schools in Russia

According to him, "this is a good project," in which 30 engineering schools were first created, then another 20. The President stressed that a connection with production is needed, including in order to understand how the labor market will develop in the coming years.

File:Aquote1.png
This is an extremely important thing, so as not to be like slapping there, "stamping" people with some kind of crust with the same higher or secondary education, who then do not know how to get them, - said the Russian leader.
File:Aquote2.png

He recalled that by mid-February 2024, about 160 large innovative enterprises of Russia were participating in the program for creating advanced engineering schools. At least 250 large high-tech industries are expected to participate in it.

According to the head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Valery Falkov, only co-financing of advanced engineering schools from the real sector amounted to 13.5 billion rubles, which is twice as much as a year earlier. Funding from the state is also increasing: for 2024, schools of the first wave were allocated 12.6 billion rubles - 2.5 billion rubles more than in 2023.

File:Aquote1.png
All this speaks of interest and the highest trust on the part of the state and business, it needs not just to be justified, but to show the highest results, "Falkov emphasized.[2]
