He is a resident of the fund's IT cluster Skolkovo and a member. Russian Association of Electronic Communications
Business model
Any Russian school provided with broadband Internet access can register on the site and connect to the educational network "Дневник.ру."
The service combines functionality for distance learning, school document management and a social network. The basic functionality of "Дневник.ру" is free.
As of September 2012, users have access to an electronic class magazine and an electronic diary of a student, as well as a media library, a library of educational literature, online training for testing the Unified State Exam and the opportunity to pass the entrance Olympiad to the largest universities in Russia.
Paid services
To monetize the project, the creators use additional services, such as SMS notification of parents about the student's academic performance and attendance, the ability to pay for meals, integration with the service for selecting tutors, etc.
In addition, as of September 2012, sponsorship contracts with partners such as Microsoft, Megafon, Lego and others bring profits. According to Levi's general director, in 2013 Дневник.ру also plans to launch an online store of the goods necessary for studying and an application for distributing educational content - both free and paid.
History and Performance Indicators
2022: Increase in the number of electronic assessments by 147 million
In June 2023, the Дневник.ру educational platform, on which 33.2 thousand schools in Russia are registered, summed up the results of the 2022/23 school year and noted a significant jump in digital development. The electronic journal was given 147 million more grades than in the previous academic year (754 million), homework was given 19 million more (106 million), and the share of timely tasks by the end of the academic year exceeded 50%.
According to the developers of the platform, such results are associated with an increasing demand for electronic magazines, an increase in teachers' interest in mastering technology and an increase in parents' attention to the school life of children. All these factors play an important role in improving the quality of the school formations as a whole.
According to published statistics, more than 60% of Дневник.ру users actively interact on the platform: they read the records of schools and thematic communities, communicate in chats. Over 5,000 teachers have been trained to work on the platform, which is carried out by its methodologists, this is a good opportunity for teachers to develop and share experience.
According to the general director of "Дневник.ру" Gabriel Levy, in the 2022/23 academic year, the indicator "timely issuance of homework" in Russian schools increased by 20%, and "timely grading" by 14%.
We strive to contribute as much as possible by investing serious resources in the development of the platform, in particular, we carried out a complete redesign: on one page it became possible to work immediately with the magazine and with time planning. Hundreds of school staff have written to us how much relief their work has made. Thanks to this, not only indicators are growing - more students and parents see relevant data by entering an electronic diary, he said. |

The corresponding order of the Government of the Russian Federation obliged the regions to integrate regional information systems with the "Service Hub" by October 15[2]
The information system "Pig Picking," developed by "Дневник.ру," meets the unified federal technical requirements for electronic queue systems, which is why it is successfully integrated with the "Service Hub" subsystem in 14 regions.
The Service Hub subsystem is designed to collect and coordinate information on the provision of a place in a preschool institution from municipal and regional systems in a single database for the whole country.
