2019: Salesforce purchased ClickSoftware for $1.35 billion
On August 7, 2019 Salesforce announced acquisition of ClickSoftware for $1.35 billion. Close the transaction which the buyer will pay both money, and the actions, it is planned until the end of October of the 2019th. At first the companies need to get approval of regulators.
By the beginning of August, 2019 ClickSoftware has more than 15,400 clients in the different countries among which — Bosch, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson and Unisys. Number of staff of the company is the 829th person, reported on the ClickSoftware page in LinkedIn social network.
Thanks to merger of ClickSoftware the Salesforce company will improve the product for exit employees of Salesforce Field Service Lightning which is constructed based on Service Cloud cloud.
Before Salesforce and ClickSoftware already made mutual integration of the solutions. One of such functions is expressed in the following: if the mobile employee is delayed because of traffic jams, the manager can quickly direct other specialist to the client to carry out a task. Information is automatically updated in all Salesforce platforms that clients, sales departments, customer service and mobile teams were completely informed on performance of work.[1]
The analyst Holger Mueller from Constellation Research says that still Salesforce services for exit workers had no specific opportunities, as at ClickSoftware. Salesforce purchased the key competitor and additional opportunities for the products, the expert noted.
