Devar Entertainment is the technology company specializing in development and creation of content in augmented reality for the entertaining and educational markets. A creator of a brand is the task innovation force "Laboratory 24" – the producer of systems with augmented reality, graphics, design and modeling.

2020: Products of Devar are on sale in 40 countries

For June, 2020 products of Devar are on sale in 40 countries and are translated into 25 languages. The company released more than 200 developing products with AR.

2018: 3 million dollars from Leta Capital

The received funds from LETA Capital investment fund will be allocated for expansion of a product line of the company. "Devar began the production with "aktivita" and "storibuk", a coloring with augmented reality. Today we are aimed at release of the literature training and developing creativity and also we are going to start content production for toys and entertaining children's goods", Anna Belova, the CEO of the company notes.

As of the beginning of 2018 offices of Devar company are located in the USA, Europe and Asia.

2017: Licenses to use of the AR products Devar are on sale in 36 countries

Licenses to use of the platform and products of augmented reality are on sale in 36 countries, and the general circulation of goods with augmented reality from Devar in 2017 was 4 million copies.

2015: Entry into the Russian market

The DEVAR group is on a joint of the markets book, technological and also the market of toys and gadgets that gives it the chance to develop in the different directions which are weaved more and more closely over time. Products of one of Group brands – DEVAR kids – the books executed using AR technologies from the moment of entry into the Russian market in the 2015th year are exposed on all perspective Expos of the world. Such activity of the company also helped to enter to a brand 36 countries of all for 2 years of existence and to add the list of licensees with multimillion brands of Hasbro, Mattel, Disney, Rovio, Kikoriki (Smeshariki brand) and many others.

History of creation of the company

The history of the company began with highly specialized difficult developments of information technologies. So in the course of the researches founders of the company in one of projects studied possibilities of computer vision, solving a problem of combination of broadcast of video from the camera of the robot with submission of information on the screen of the operator over the picture. But creation and development of a mass product were a dream of founders.

"We decided to work with the children's book market as today in training and development of children gamification, a trend on integration of technologies into toys and educational materials is used. Our products are demanded by today's generation of children - generation of "Generation Glass"", Belova Anna., the CEO of Devar company tells.

Devar put on the market an AR coloring for children of 3 years. The first product line extended very quickly. Further the list extended to encyclopedias, alphabets, art stories. At the moment Devar has more than 100 names of printed materials. Except own line of Devar is also a partner of the largest international children's brands - Hasbro, Mattel, Rovio.

Adding of AR in books or toys carries not only the game component but also developing and training, occasionally remaining imperceptible for the user. Interaction with augmented reality allows to involve at the same time three methods of perception of information: visual, audialny and kinaesthetic. At the same time everything occurs through playful way. Thus, irrespective of tendency of the person, he obtains information at the most deep level. "Researches and testings with involvement of children's audience showed that by means of training through AR books already at two-year age children know completely all alphabet, verses and any other content which is in a product. Each user becomes some kind of coauthor of a product, taking full part in creativity process. And for children the coming to life heroes become magic" — Anna Belova explains. In office Devar often invite focus groups of children for testing of products better to understand preferences of audience.

In development of a printing line of Devar places emphasis on creation of the training and developing formats. The company develops the big educational project for school students. The line of materials on physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, English will become start. Augmented reality allows to interact with the historical past - the died-out animal species and the disappeared civilizations, different dangerous substances or poisonous animals without harm for itself, to visit far-out planets, to investigate the Universe - all that difficult or cannot be performed in normal life.

In the closest plans of Devar it intends to start content production in toys with artificial intelligence technology. It will allow to interact with a toy or the character in real time.

"Our task to make so that every 10th family on the planet in the 200th countries changed space around itself, having made things it is more useful and the world is more comfortable by means of investment of normal things and space with new properties using augmented reality around. Everything around the person should bring benefit, developing and training, allowing to learn the world and to do it more convenient", Anna Belova considers.

The platform from Devar consists of two key components, printed materials and the free application available on iPhone and Android. That to start it, the user should download the application and direct the mobile device to the book or a coloring. The patented Devar technology allows to see 3D objects the same as they were colored and also to interact with them, creating strong emotional effect. In the products DEVAR places the main focus on high-quality combination of entertainment and education. Users of all age receive the convenient presentation tool. Thanks to augmented reality, complex circuits become simple and clear using visual and interactive 3D models. The technologies of augmented reality used for fiction and game solutions can significantly increase sales and attract new audience.
