Digital Surgery is the private British company working in the field of AI, data and analytics and also digital training for medical use, in particular, in surgery. Products of the company include Touch Surgery - the interactive educational platform mentioned by awards which is used more than 2 million clients, and GoSurgery - the platform for work in the operating room.

History

2020: Medtronic purchased Digital Surgery

In the middle of February, 2020 Medtronic announced Digital Surgical acquisition. The companies are going to develop jointly II-ssitemy data analysis for laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Purchase conditions, including financial, are not disclosed.

It is supposed that Digital Surgery will digitize surgical protocols using the advanced calculations and to create standard procedures for the consecutive and based on the actual proofs medical care.

According to data of Medtronic, the transaction will not affect profit in 2020 financial year and will be estimated on long-term financial performance. Digital Surgery will join business of Surgical Robotics as a part of group of minimum invasive therapy of Medtronic.

The headquarters of Digital Surgery will remain in London where further investment and expansion of the state is planned. The executive command of the company, including two surgeons cofounders, doctor Andre Chow and doctor Jean Nehme, will continue the work on places.[1]
