2023: 2.7 million home tests for COVID-19 Roche infected with dangerous bacteria recalled

2018: Roland Diggelmann resigns. Appointment of Michael Heyer as head of Roche Diagnostics
On August 28, 2018, it became known that Roland Diggelmann would leave the post of head of Roche Diagnostics at the end of September 2018. He will be replaced by Michael Heyer, who holds the post of president of the diagnostic division in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, Africa) and Latin America for August. Read more here.
Diggelmann's reason for leaving Roche was called his intention to "continue his career outside the company." It is noteworthy that this resignation is not the first for Roche in 2018. So, in June, the company announced the departure of the head of Roche Partnering Sophie Kornowski-Bonnet, and in March - the head of Roche Pharma Research and Early Development John K. Reed, who decided to return to the United States for personal reasons.[1]
