LINE is the application for smartphones which allows users to make free of charge calls and to send messages within the country and the world, considering possibilities of local telecom operators. Since in June, 2011 service was started in Japan where at once became popular, it turned into the international service which is used in 230 countries worldwide. Service holds the first places in the rating of the most popular free the application in 55 countries. LINE offers different unique services, for example, instant translation of messages, more than 300 official profiles of celebrities using which it is possible to communicate conveniently with the famous people and representatives of the large companies, the Timeline and Home functions which help shares the latest news with friends, to exchange an amusing method personal ID with the help of the function "Shake it!" and also a set of stickers with different emotions and characters.

LINE Corporation, the owner and the operator of the application for exchange of free calls and messages of LINE, announced in April, 2014 today that the number of users of LINE on all platforms exceeded 400 million. Along with growth of number of users, also their activity considerably increased. So, since the beginning of 2014 LINE set new records in sending messages (10 billion a day), stickers (1.8 billion a day) and also calls (12 million a day).

2013

In November, 2013 the total number of the registered users of LINE exceeded 300 million. In addition to already broad user base of LINE in Spain, Southeast Asia and other countries growth of number of users in North America and Europe was mentioned. The daily gain of number of users of LINE promptly increased worldwide and exceeded record level in 1.7 million new registration in a day. The trend proceeded – and only 4 months later, on April 1, 2014, the company recorded the 400-million user of LINE. Since the beginning of year also the number of the countries in which the number of users of LINE exceeds 10 million increased, – now them 10, including the USA, Korea, Malaysia and Mexico.

2013

LINE Corporation revenue in the third quarter made 2013 19.1 billion yens (6.3 billion rubles **) that is 48% higher than results of the last quarter.

Total proceeds from core business of LINE Corporation, the LINE application, were 9.9 billion yens (3.3 billion rubles) which was counted as the amount of net sales * from total sales, at the same time gross sales volume for date of 15.6 billion yens (5.1 billion rubles) that for 58% exceeds indicators of the last quarter.

Growth of net sales on core business of LINE is connected with growth of purchases of games (about 60%), purchases of stickers (about 20%), and with other sources of income, such as: providing official profiles or the sponsored stickers.

According to LINE corporation audience of the application which uses around the world - 350 million people on February 22, 2014 – in 24 hours 2 million people were connected to LINE.
