2017: Business segment assessment in $1 billion
At the beginning of 2018 the Tractica analytical company published a research in which it predicts rapid implementation of virtual digital assistants (Virtual digital assistants, VDA) among the enterprises.
According to data of specialists, for the end of 2017 in a corporate segment there were about 145.2 million unique active users of digital assistants. In terms of money analysts estimated the size of the market of the commercial VDA systems almost at $1 billion.
By Tractica estimates, by 2025 more than 1 billion corporate users will already use virtual digital assistants, and revenue in this market will reach $7.7 billion.
Analysts explained that they mean the automated applications or platforms helping people due to ability to recognize the natural human speech in oral or the written form and having elements of artificial intelligence by the term VDA. Also specialists noted that the enterprises use VDA systems for customer interaction via different channels, including telephone lines, the intellectual voice menu (IVR), websites, mobile applications, information terminals and messengers.
The main scope of corporate VDA specialists call service and marketing service, but note that the list of scenarios of use extends.
For the last three years natural languag processing was succeeded to achieve considerable progress in the field of technologies (Natural Language Processing, NLP) and to integrate them with other forms of artificial intelligence, first of all machine and deep learning. Thanks to it the corporate VDA systems became more intellectual and more useful that promotes their broader application and use in such spheres as e-commerce and sales, business applications, health care, training in foreign languages and filling of tax declarations — the top analyst of Tractica Mark Beccue commented.[1] |
