2019: Intel purchased Ineda

On February 18, 2019 the American processor giant Intel announced acquisition of Ineda Systems company to continue development of family of discrete graphic chips (GPU). New graphic processors will find application in different areas: the company is going to pay the main attention to the game sector, competing with AMD and Nvidia and also to a segment of the equipment for professional and corporate clients.

Intel purchased the developer of chips for Internet of Things to improve the GPU

Intel notes that first of all it is interested not in developments of Ineda, and engineers of the company who have experience of development of the graphic equipment. Thanks to purchase Intel gathered a pilot team of hundred engineers which is capable to develop GPU of a world class. The corporation creates the discrete graphic processor from scratch and hopes that similar approach will exempt it from outdated project solutions of the previous models which potentially reduce machine output.

The company actively attracts engineering talents what video which it posted on Twitter blog at the end of January, 2019 confirms. The Intel group on graphic calculations which tasks include development of the new graphic processor is headed Raj Raja Kodori, by AMD Radeon Technology Group which was earlier directing division. In the video he notes that for a successful completion of the project of Intel the best professionals are required, and the company will take care of that it was with what to work.

Financial parts of the transaction with Ineda are not disclosed. It is expected that Intel will provide the new graphic processor in 2020.[1]
