In April 2016, SAP CIS opened the doors of the new SAP training center in Moscow to train Russian IT developers, create joint innovations and share knowledge. The amount of investment in the new training center amounted to €1 million.

The SAP Training Center offers 150 jobs and 12 classes, more than 400 programs for 30 solutions, including 25 unique courses adapted to the Russian specifics; interactive demo stands work. The training process can take place in different formats - from individual to group. Small audiences are equipped to conduct courses in the format of video conferences for 4-6 people - participants from different regions can remotely connect to them, and high-quality images and communication channels make it possible to create the full effect of personal presence, the company claims.

Among the novelties of the curriculum is the SAP Education Flatrate Knowledge Subscription, which allows you to get a full set of training courses with subsequent certification, access to all content using the SAP Learning Hub cloud knowledge library at a fixed price, which SAP estimates will save over p100,000 in training specialists, project team members and key SAP users. New in the framework of the program will also be the SAP Start seminar - for top managers and executives, dedicated to the SAP methodology and tools that make it possible to optimally implement the project, and a course on the topic of the Internet of Things, where this trend will be considered from the point of view of business, value creation, innovation management in the company.

SAP University Alliance

The SAP University Alliance cooperates with 85 universities in Russia and the CIS. More than 250,000 students receive information about SAP solutions in the framework of the educational process, open lectures, conferences, case competitions.

2021: Agreement with Evraz and SibGIU to create SAP Next-Gen Lab

SAP, EVRAZ and the Siberian State Industrial University (SibGIU) signed an agreement to create the SAP Next-Gen Lab innovation laboratory on the basis of the university. In the laboratory, university students and teachers will work on promising digital scenarios for EVRAZ and the mining and metallurgical industry as a whole. 2020: Providing free training against the background of the coronavirus epidemic

On March 27, 2020, SAP CIS announced additional opportunities and tools for digital training. The initiative will help in a difficult situation for all countries to support specialists who continue to learn despite restrictions.

The initiative will be based on three main areas - mass open online courses (MOOC, Massive Open Online Courses), access to educational content for large universities and participants in the SAP University Alliance and SAP Young Thinkers program. The courses will be constantly adapted and improved taking into account the feedback and specific requirements of the participants.

The MOOC platform will OpenSAP be useful for those interested in modern technologies, innovations and the digital economy. So among the courses offered you can find materials on RPA, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, IoT, Java and more. There are also many forums on the openSAP where you can communicate with colleagues and ask questions to experts. Courses are available without restrictions, at any time, anywhere and from any device. And podcasts and courses in micro-learning format provide users with independent content that is easier to learn thanks to small amounts of information. A participant must be over 16 years old to register, but the courses themselves do not have age restrictions.

Within 90 days, four courses will be available free of charge to all students studying at one of the 3,800 universities included in the SAP University Alliance global academic program, as well as those interested in career development within the SAP ecosystem. The courses focus on key SAP solutions - SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Finance, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and SAP HANA. Materials are available in different languages, courses include various training formats. In addition, students will be able to perform practical tasks, this will make it easier for them to prepare for the exam and pass the SAP global certification certification, while one attempt will be completely free.

Memorandum of Understanding with FEFU on Digital Training

Cooperation with the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation in the field of training of IT specialists for the Krasnoyarsk Digital Valley project

2018: Opening of 5 SAP Next-Gen Expertise Centers

On September 10, 2018, SAP announced the launch of the SAP educational program format - SAP Next-Gen Expertise Centers. Educational hubs were opened in 29 universities and educational institutions in Europe and the Middle East, which included Orlyonok VDC and Russian universities - St. Petersburg SPbPU of Peter the Great (Politech), MGIMO (U) MFA, HSE and Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after Gubkin. SAP Next-Gen Expertise Centers will focus on developing innovative technology services for the selected industry, will be responsible for disseminating industry experience and best practices, and will serve as a model for other educational institutions from the SAP Next-Gen network.

It is expected that SAP Next-Gen expertise centers will help universities accelerate the training of industry specialists with experience in developing innovative projects based on technologies and the SAP platform. One of the first centers opens at MGIMO (U) of the Russian Foreign Ministry and will focus on digital transformation in the field of banking and analytics.

Another SAP Next-Gen expertise center at Polytechnic is designed to expand the university's cooperation with SAP and attract more resources in innovative developments for scientific, technical and industrial tasks in the field of Industry 4.0.

The remaining SAP Next-Gen Expertise Centers in Russia will focus on the following industries: at HSE - on digital marketing and e-commerce (including the use of SAP C/4HANA), at RSU oil and gas named after Gubkin - on innovations for the oil and gas industry, at VDC "Orlyonok" - on educational programs for schoolchildren.

2017

SAP Next-Gen Lab Center in Plekhanov REU

On September 8, 2017, at the G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the SAP Next-Gen Lab Innovation Center was opened, created on the initiative and with the support of SAP. The main function of SAP Next-Gen Lab is the practice of students, the study of SAP technologies, solving problems that are relevant for SAP customers and the base enterprises of the university.

SAP Next-Gen Lab Plekhanov is SAP's 7th Innovation Center, where students, faculty, professors, and young scientists will have access to SAP's educational materials and technologies and will be able to receive advice from leading experts from SAP's innovation centers around the world. The SAP University Alliance has more than 3 thousand educational institutions in 106 countries. The industrial partners of the innovation center will have the opportunity to test technological solutions and evaluate the prospects for their integration into their business processes.

The Center for Innovation borrows practices and training formats from a common SAP project and Stanford University. Students are given the opportunity to prove themselves in working on a real business case.

SAP Next-Gen Lab Plekhanov will host hackathons, inter-university scientific and practical seminars, tournaments to create innovative solutions in various areas of business, as well as the social sphere. Young specialists can present their own projects at the center, get advice on crowdsourcing or on development for large customers.

SAP Next-Gen Lab Center in SPbPU

As part of SPIEF-2017, SPbPU and SAP, in the presence of Maxim Meiksin, chairman of the St. Petersburg Industrial Policy and Innovation Committee, signed agreements on cooperation in the field of new technologies and on the opening of the SAP Next-Gen Lab innovation center at St. Petersburg University. The agreement was signed by the rector of SPbPU, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Rudskoy and the general director of SAP SNGPavel Gontarev.

SAP opens the SAP Next-Gen Lab Innovation Center at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the focus of which is development for industry. At the SAP Center, students, faculty, professors and young scientists will have access to SAP's educational materials and technologies, as well as receive advice from leading experts from SAP innovation centers around the world. The industrial partners of the innovation center will have the opportunity to test new technological solutions and evaluate the prospects for their integration into their business processes.

During SPIEF-2017, an agreement was also signed on the participation of SAP as a partner of the Polytechnic University in the megaproject "Factories of the Future" - a demonstration ground based on the Institute of Advanced Production Technologies (IPPT) in SPbPU. "Factory of the Future" will be engaged in research and preparation of the concept of new generation products for high-tech industries.

SAP Next-Gen Lab Center at St. Petersburg State University

On June 2, 2017, an agreement was signed between St. Petersburg State University and SAP CIS. Partnerships were formalized within the framework of the European International Economic Forum.

The document was signed by Ekaterina Babelyuk, the first vice-rector for educational, extracurricular and educational-methodical work of St. Petersburg State University, and Parmenova Natalia, executive director of SAP CIS. Through the agreement, the University and the company will be able to combine their intellectual and material resources for the training of specialists.

2016

Russian State University of Oil and Gas as part of the University Alliance

SAP and the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin opened the SAP Next-Gen Lab Innovation Center in December 2016. Its goal is to solve the business problems of the university's industry partners. This is the only university-based SAP Center in the world specializing in the oil and gas industry.

SAP Next-Gen Lab is a project space where SAP-based students develop concepts and prototypes for industry-relevant solutions. The Center will host innojems, consulting, co-innovative, global crowdsourcing projects and applied research. Young specialists will have a working area for training and events, testing robotics and experimental devices.

The concept of the new Center is based on the best practices of Stanford d.school, a joint project between SAP and Standford University, where students develop Connected Cars technologies for Audi and Volvo "drones" for construction. Also among their customers are Renault, IKEA, NASA, Ford, etc.

MIREA as part of the University Alliance

On December 9, 2016, the SAP SE press service announced the opening at MIREA of the first innovation and networking center in Russia and the CIS for students and young IT specialists of SAP Next-Gen Lab.

The center operates in the main building of MIREA on 78 Vernadsky Avenue. On an area of ​ ​ 100 m ² there are :

  • work area for training and activities,
  • test area for robotics and experimental devices,
  • meeting room.

The main function of SAP Next-Gen Lab is the practice of students, the study of SAP technologies, solving problems that are relevant for the company's customers and the core enterprises of MIREA.

SAP Next-Gen Lab is designed for Generation Z. Students and professionals of this age focus on practice and career rather than dry theory. The newly opened center will become a site for project training. With this approach, the teacher does not rely on a theoretical task, but on a practical one. For example, to develop an application for a bank or to finalize a quadcopter for use in hazardous production conditions.

The MIREA Center for Innovation borrows training practices and formats from the common SAP and Stanford University project - Stanford d. School. SAP Next-Gen Lab will help develop the Institute of Information Technology and Automated Design of MIREA, which conducts development for 46 basic enterprises of the university. Among them are manufacturing enterprises, medical institutions, ministries and departments. The tasks of informatization of many of them are ambitious. This is the analysis of data arrays in the Big Data concept, and the introduction of the Internet of Things in industry. The SAP HANA platform, for example, is of interest in this regard. ITMO University Joins SAP University Alliance and Opens SAP Next-Gen Lab

ITMO University and SAP announced in November the signing of an agreement according to which the university is part of the SAP University Alliance and opens the SAP Next-Gen Lab.

The cooperation plans of ITMO University and SAP are related to undergraduate and postgraduate studies, research and development, internships, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Teachers and students will have access to SAP training content - 600 courses on 12 topics. You can take training in the audience or online on open MOOC platforms openSAP and openHPI.

SAP Next-Gen Lab will play an important role in the cooperation between the university and the company - a center where students will work on solving innovative problems in the interests of business, implementing the concept of project-oriented training. Master classes, hackathons, innojems will help them get acquainted with SAP technologies, practical examples of digital transformation of companies, find ideas for their own business.

By the end of 2016, SAP Next-Gen Lab will be part of the ITMO University's Department of Design and Innovation, where training and development topics based on the Center for Converged Innovation will cover the Internet of Things, business architecture, computational design and audiovisual art.

Presidential Academy joins SAP University Alliance

The Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) and SAP, the developer of corporate applications, have concluded an agreement on joining the Academy to the SAP University Alliance.

The agreement involves the development of SAP university programs in RANEPA, the inclusion in the Academy's curricula of materials and software products based on in-memory computing and predictive modeling technologies - SAP HANA, SAP Predictive Analytics and others. The SAP Next-Gen Consulting laboratory will open on the basis of the Faculty of Economics, which plans to implement and develop solutions for the public sector and sectors of the national economy using big data technologies and forecasting analytics.

SAP and MIREA begin joint big data management development

SAP, one of the largest developers of enterprise applications, and Moscow University of Technology (MIREA), the leading Russian educational and research center, announced the start of cooperation on creating solutions in the field of business applications on the SAP HANA platform .

SAP announces creation of SAP Next-Gen Consulting centers in Russian universities

In September, SAP CIS presented two main initiatives within the framework of the SAP University Alliance program. The first is the involvement of Russian universities in the global innovation network SAP Next-Gen Consulting, which includes universities, partners and SAP customers working on the implementation of innovative projects demanded by real business. The first SAP Next-Gen centers will open in 2016. The second initiative is the organization of innovative tours for teachers in Silicon Valley.
