SecureLink — the Belgian developer of software technologies for information security support (cybersecurity). The company not only develops the solutions intended for recognition of cyberthreats and response to them but also renders services of support and consulting in the field of cybersecurity.

SecureLink is also a reseller of software and hardware solutions for cyber defense of corporate IT infrastructures. The company has more than 1000 technical or commercial accreditations received from cybersecurity vendors.

2019

Orange-SecureLink completion of the transaction

On July 18, 2019 the Orange group announced completion of acquisition of 100% of stocks of SecureLink, the independent player in information security field in Europe. Process of acquisition of the company began in May, 2019 — then the group signed the binding agreement with Investcorp investment fund. Having got permission of the authorities, Orange completed closed worth 515 million euros.

For July, 2019 SecureLink services about 2100 clients from the most different industries, offers users of consultation and professional services in the field of cyber security, the round-the-clock support of CyberSOC (security operation center, the center for monitoring and response to incidents of information security) and also enhanced capabilities on detection of cyber attacks and response to them.

According to representatives of Orange, the strong provision SecureLink in Europe allowed group to expand considerably opportunities on a customer support in regions of the presence and provided it the scale, unprecedented for the industry. The SecureLink commands in Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark and Norway and also four CyberSOC play an important role in strengthening of positions of Orange in the European market where local presence is necessary in the opinion of clients. The size of network corresponding to complexity of the attacks, and a direct customer intimacy is important for successful work in this growing market, are convinced of group.

Orange purchased SecureLink for 515 million euros

On May 8, 2019 Orange announced acquisition of SecureLink for 515 million euros. The purchased company the French telecommunication giant will attach Orange Business Services to "daughter".

As the Financial Times newspaper notes, the transaction with SecureLink became for Orange the largest purchase from the moment of absorption of assets of Airtel in the western Africa in 2016 and the second significant acquisition in the market of cyber security in 2019 along with purchase of the British SecureData.

Orange Business Services purchased the supplier of cybersecurity services for 0.5 billion euros

By May, 2019 SecureLink has more than 2100 clients and 14 offices located in the different countries.

Orange hopes that this transaction which is going to be closed to the third quarter 2019 will help the company "to accelerate essentially strategy implementation on transformation of the company into the all-European market leader of services of cyber security". Orange sees in this market and also in the banking sector a new source of revenue growth for the traditional telecommunication business.

The division of Orange specializing in cybersecurity services in 2018 received revenue in the amount of 600 million euros that is 12% more, than the previous year. Number of staff of this structure — Orange Cyberdefence — by May, 2019 made 1800 people. Orange Cyberdefence works in close interaction with Orange Business Services company at which the number of clients exceeds 3 thousand[1]
