The revenue of Toyota Boshoku LLC, registered in St. Petersburg in 2006, last year fell 6.6 times, to 1.5 billion rubles. The net loss amounted to 2.3 billion rubles against a profit of 1 billion rubles in 2021 (according to the SPARK-Interfax analytical system).

2023: FSUE NAMI bought Toyota Boshoku LLC

On July 6, 2023, FSUE NAMI announced the purchase of Toyota Boshoku LLC, a Toyota plant in St. Petersburg, which was engaged in the production of car seats and interior parts for Japanese-made cars. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to TASS, citing the press service of NAMI, the deal was concluded on June 26, 2023, and by July 6, 2023, the institute and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are working to resume the activities of the enterprise. This is supposed to make it possible to use the company's resources for import substitution of modern auto components.

FSUE NAMI bought Toyota Boshoku LLC

In July 2023, it became known that the unused territories of the former Toyota plant in Shushary will be given under the special economic zone (SEZ) "St. Petersburg." The area of ​ ​ the site is 164 hectares. The corresponding data are spelled out in the amendments to the decree of the government of St. Petersburg, published on the Smolny website in the section of anti-corruption expertise. As noted in the document, the accession of the territory to the SEZ is carried out for the "further development" of the zone.

The entire territory of the former plant occupies about 224 hectares, the plant itself - 140 thousand square meters. m. Kirill Soloveichik, chairman of the city committee for industrial policy, innovation and trade, told TASS that they plan to give part of the land to the SEZ, and the other to the industrial zone.[1]

2022

The head office of Toyota Boshoku announced the termination of activities in Russia in September 2022.
