Entry into the Russian market

In April, 2012 Zenprise became more active in the Russian market, having signed the partnership agreement with local system integrator "IT". Key specialization of Zenprise – development of solutions for mobile security in corporate environment.

Today the IT company is the only authorized partner of Zenprise in the territory of Russia and the CIS. As Patrick Costello, the director of Zenprise of partner sales in Europe [[Costello Patrick|]] commented on TAdviser, the company regards Russia and the CIS and also China and other countries of the Pacific Rim as the markets having high potential for growth. "We worked on a number of contracts in Russia in the last several years, and we believe that cooperation with the local technology company (IT) will significantly strengthen our positions", - he said.

As for potential competitors of Zenprise in local market, Patrick Costello found it difficult to comment on ambitions of the third-party companies, having added, nevertheless, that so far competitors which Zenprise daily faces in the market of the USA, are not present at Russia and the CIS. Whether negotiations on partnership with other Russian system integrators are conducted, in Zenprise do not open.

Within the partnership agreement with Zenprise "IT" acquired the rights to distribution, deliveries of software of Zenprise to corporate users and also providing a full range of implementation services and to maintenance of the systems of vendor. A flagship product of Zenprise is the Zenprise MobileManager system.

Sergey Makaryin, the director of business development of the center of corporate mobility of IT company told TAdviser that this solution is useful for those companies who is interested in controllability of the park of mobile jobs, lowering of total ownership cost by mobile places based on tablets and smartphones and also that who is concerned by protection of corporate data on mobile devices.

According to him, considering that deployment of Zenprise Mobile Device Management rather simple project and also that circumstance that use of modern tablets and smartphones for work with corporate data and applications becomes a trend in all industries and state structures, one may say, that target audience is the company practically of any size in any industry.

IT already keeps a number of projects and pilot implementations on the Zenprise platform in the retail companies, the financial and oil and gas industry, but does not reveal names of customers.

Citrix buys Zenprise

Acquisition of the developer of administrative tools of the mobile devices Zenprise will allow Citrix company to expand possibilities of the corporate CloudGateway and Me@Work software packages. The company claims that after integration with Zenprise technologies they will support at the same time administration of both mobile devices, and applications and data. CloudGateway provides access to applications on many platforms, including mobile, and Me@Work represents the set of applications for file sharing, the organizations of virtual meetings and security of e-mail.

Citrix is guided by requests of the enterprises implementing more and more popular strategy of BYOD — use by employees in the working purposes of own mobile devices. Citrix tries to create the means allowing to provide to these devices the same security level and controllability as to corporate systems.

Developments of Zenprise are intended for centralized operation by applications and data on mobile devices. The company was founded in 2003, and its programs are used by a set of the enterprises in the different industries. Financial terms of transaction do not reveal.
