2018: Departure from the Moscow government
On September 19, 2018, TAdviser, citing its own source in the Moscow government, announced that Artem Ermolaev was leaving his post. A day earlier, re-elected on September 9, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, by his decree, dismissed the city government, instructing him to exercise his powers until the formation of a new composition. The first deputies and deputy chiefs of staff of the mayor and the government of Moscow were also dismissed with the assignment of duties for previously replaced posts to them.
The most high-profile resignation was the departure of Deputy Mayor Leonid Pechatnikov, who was responsible for the social bloc. Anastasia Rakova, who oversaw the IT department of Moscow, was appointed instead. According to the decree of the mayor of September 19, other employees of the previous composition remain in the new government. During the work of Artem Ermolaev as head of the capital's DIT, Moscow was noted for leadership in the UN ranking in terms of the level of development of electronic government. As part of the preparation of this rating, 40 cities were studied, and the first place among them was taken by the Russian capital, ahead of Cape Town and Tallinn, which took second and third places, respectively.
