The route includes five historical buildings - identified cultural heritage sites. Each of them has its own unique architectural appearance, its own style and rich history. On the portal "Learn Moscow" you can not only see how these buildings looked before the restoration, but also build a route using an interactive map. It will be convenient to familiarize yourself with the excursion in the project's mobile application.

During the walk, users will learn interesting facts. For example, why the Apartment Building of A. S. Taneev is called the "house with a magical entrance," to whom the name of the Mariinsky School is devoted and how the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior turned into the Institute of Geography of the Academy of Sciences.

The route developed by the department included the construction of the XVIII, XIX and early XX centuries. Now they are included in the list of routes of the portal and the "Learn Moscow" application. Everyone can discover the route in the capital, along the way interactively learning the facts about cultural heritage sites that have been restored in recent years.

told Ivan Bobrov, head of the State Inspectorate for Real Estate, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital

It is proposed to start a walk at the Apartment Building of A.S. Taneev, built in 1911 and located on Bolshaya Tatarskaya Street, 20. Lovers of non-standard Moscow architecture nicknamed it "home with a magical entrance." Its main feature is a forked staircase with stone steps and an artistic metal fencing, which due to bizarre curves was compared to the creations of the Spanish genius Antonio Gaudi. Guests can clearly imagine what this house was like under its owner, Abdullah Salekhovich Taneev, because the appearance characteristic of the old Zamoskvorechye and the internal layouts of the building have never changed. In 2016, thanks to the active participation of the State Real Estate Inspectorate, the house was assigned to the list of identified cultural heritage sites. During the restoration, all work was strictly regulated and carried out in such a way as to preserve the historical appearance of the interiors and facades of the building.

Next, you should go to Bolotnaya Square - here the participants of the excursion will see the building of the mid-18th century, the owners of which in different years were college assessor I.T. Rakhmanov, naval captain I.L. Bukhvostov, the Kotov family of merchants, as well as the famous Moscow industrialist German origin Gustav Ivanovich List. Under him, the Sofia Mechanical Plant was founded in the building. An interesting story is connected with the sculptures of a blacksmith and a foundry worker at the entrance gate: considered irretrievably lost, they were accidentally discovered in 2019 during work in the building of the factory building and returned to the historical place after restoration.

Nearby is the house of Gustav Liszt (Bolotnaya Square, 14, building 1, 14) - another point of the route. Gustav Ivanovich and his wife, Paulina Yulievna Schwecker (Schweikert), had four children. All of them lived in this mansion. Elena List- Ivanova, granddaughter of Gustav Liszt, described the house as "old and solid. Its bottom was built firmly - the walls are almost one and a half arshin and ceilings with arches. Architecture was dictated by life: the Moscow River often protruded from the banks and flooded the entire Zamoskvorechye. If the flood happened during the ice drift, the ice floes fought against the house.

It is worth recalling interesting facts from the biography of Gustav Liszt: he began his entrepreneurial activity in, To America where fate brought him together with Henry Ford - the future. builder cars For a long time, Gustav List was a representative of the famous Benz automobile company.

The next stop along the route is the complex of buildings of the Mariinsky Women's School, located on Sofia Embankment, 8 building 1. The history of the site begins in the XVIII century. Having changed several owners, in the 1750s it was bought out by the president of the Revision Commission Vasily Mikhailovich Eropkin, who built the house, which is the basis of the existing building. A century later, under the patronage of Empress Maria Fedorovna, wife of Alexander III, the Mariinsky School was organized in the building. In 1856, it merged with the similar Yermolovsky and soon became one of the best Moscow women's institutions. After the revolution, the building housed school No. 19 named after Belinsky, where children from the famous House on the embankment studied, and in the 1970s Mosproekt-2 moved here. In 2021, the historic site was restored.

Announcement of testing AR-excursion along Nikolskaya street

The augmented reality (AR) excursion was launched in test mode along Nikolskaya Street, one of the oldest in Moscow. The peculiarity of the pilot project is in the technology of creating virtual scenes. With the help of a smartphone camera, the user can interact with a 3D character - a virtual guide and follow him along the route. The idea was developed by a domestic company. This was announced on December 12, 2022 by representatives of the Department of Information Technologies of the city of Moscow.

As reported, to test the excursion can be in " mobile application Recognize Moscow." During the virtual walk, users will meet digital twins famous personalities who will share interesting facts about historical objects. So, sightseers will find out why Nikolskaya Street used to be called Enlightenment Street, in which building Mikhail Lomonosov spent his student years, where the first was located in what Russia printing house hotel Slavyansky Bazaar was famous for and what unusual goods were sold in Ferrein's pharmacy.

File:Aquote1.png
When starting the route, the service compares the personnel from the camera of the excursion participant's device with previously filmed detailed images of the object, in this case, Nikolskaya Street. Based on this information, the smartphone determines the exact location of the person and launches the corresponding virtual scene, which is updated as the user moves. In the future, this technology will become especially relevant indoors, where satellite navigation systems can give a significant error. It can be used not only in cultural and tourist projects, but also, for example, to create interactive educational services. Therefore, it is important for the city to test the technology together with the townspeople already at the pilot launch stage.

told Dmitry Derelyak, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Technologies of Moscow

The AR tour was created in two stages. At first, the developers filmed the entire territory of Nikolskaya Street in detail with a smartphone camera and made its digital twin. He became the basis for a future excursion. Then 3D characters, dialogues and stickers were introduced into the digital twin, which accompany the user throughout the route. 3D artists created digital copies of personalities based on historical images and portraits using AR technologies.

To test an AR tour, just take a few steps:

  • Come to the point of the beginning of the route at the intersection of Red Square and Nikolskaya Street at Kazan Cathedral.
  • Go to the mobile application "Learn Moscow," open the page of the Museum of Moscow and click "Pass the excursion."
  • Point the smartphone camera at any building - then the service will compare the frame with the image of a digital street double and determine the location. Then a 3D guide will appear on the smartphone screen, which will begin the tour and guide the user along the entire route.

For correct display, you need to have a smartphone operating system iOS with (11 and above) or (Android eight and above) and support for ARKit or ARCore augmented reality technology.

The virtual route along Nikolskaya Street was developed with the support of the Department of Information Technology. The content for creating the excursion is provided by specialists from the Museum of Moscow.
