As 1C will restart export business

Sergey Andreyev, the CEO of 1C Company of International at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in May, 2017 told about plans and priorities in the field of business development of 1C in foreign countries.

According to Andreyev, in the closest five years of 1C is going to increase income from the product "1C Enterprise" twice due to foreign business. Andreyev says that in general about 20% of total sales are the share of foreign business at 1C. 1C specified TAdviser that its main part is the share of neighboring countries so far.

Sergey Andreyev reported to TAdviser what a priority within the new company - to analyze that in what countries abroad 1C already managed to be reached and from what approaches it is possible to expect the most rapid growth. According to him, about half a year on inventory will leave further to develop successful approach to international markets and to configure the new system of conducting foreign business.

He noted that 1C has "some number" of partners in the different countries which began to work some time ago, but, Andreyev says, earlier all this looked more likely as pilot projects which had to show how this or that model and this or that approach works.

Andreyev added that the company has interesting undertakings and projects in Germany, Vietnam, Romania and "even in the USA".

It is possible to develop business in foreign countries in the different ways, the CEO noted 1C International in a conversation with TAdviser. It is possible to be focused, for example, on small business or cloud solutions, it is possible to go to some niches in the vertical markets or to be focused on ERP projects with a big share of implementation works. It is necessary to decide on it later.

To keep development of foreign business, 1C on PIEF signed the agreement on cooperation with Vnesheconombank (VEB). The representative of 1C explained TAdviser that within this cooperation of VEB will be able to act as "leverage" for large foreign customers of the company.

By the time of creation of 1C Company of International, 1C made attempts to develop business outside the CIS more than 10 years. So, for example, since 2005 in Germany based on the partner 1C Company of Germany GmbH representing the interests of 1C works. It provides to customers services in development of custom business applications on a basis "1C: Enterprise", to licensing, installation and maintenance of products of 1C in Europe.

Among other countries where 1C through partners already developed business, - Vietnam, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey.

In 2011 1C started the Developer Network 1C portal focused on promotion of the development environment "1C: Enterprise" in English-speaking audience. In the middle of 2013 Boris Nuraliyev told that his company develops and prepares for start the affiliate program for the international partners working outside the CIS countries.

Creation of the company

In May, 2017 1C announced creation of joint venture with Sergey Andreyev, from 1999 to 2017 working as the CEO of ABBYY. The new company under the name 1C International will be engaged in development and promotion of group of products "in 1C: Enterprise" (1C: Enterprise) in foreign markets. Sergey Andreyev becomes her head.

Part of export activity of 1C company is transferred to the new company. According to the founder of 1C Boris Nuraliyev, the company wants to try to use the developments and competences of partners, specialists in 1C: Enterprise for automation of the organizations of foreign countries.

Sergey Andreyev notes that 1C successfully competes in a number of the countries with the key world leaders in the field of the integrated management systems for the enterprises and the automation equipment of document flow, firmly holding the first positions in the Russian market.
