2020: Production schedules of pilotless convertiplanes together with Aeroxo

Ruselectronics holding of State Corporation Rostec together with the Russian startup - Aeroxo company – will start production of robotic convertiplanes. They can be used to transportation of loads, control of an ice situation in the region of the Far North and also as a part of complex projects on monitoring of extended objects of crucial infrastructure. Rostec reported about it on June 17, 2020.

The parties are going to combine efforts in the development area and serial production of unmanned aerial vehicles. The relevant agreement was signed by the CEO of Vega concern (enters into Ruselectronics) Vyacheslav Mikheyev and the CEO of Aeroxo Eldar Razroyev.

The market of unmanned aerial vehicles grows in high gear. At the same time convertiplanes are one of most UAVs perspective types. The combination of advantages of a kopter and the airplane does them universal and capable to execute very broad spectrum of tasks that allows them to apply for a notable market share. By 2025 we predict growth of revenue in this segment to 1 billion rubles a year. Consolidation of competences in the field of development and production allows us to force achievement of these purposes, – the CEO of Vega concern Vyacheslav Mikheyev considers.

At the first stage at capacities of Vega the UAVs convertiplanes of family of Ayr developed by Aeroxo will be produced serially. They are capable to be airborne more than 3 hours and to bear payload to 7 kg. In development there is also a convertiplane with a loading capacity up to 80 kg for the solution of logistic tasks.

Cooperation of Vega and Aeroxo concern will allow the companies to occupy a big share of the existing market of the pilotless aviation systems and to enter other markets. Examination which Vega has will help to adapt existing solutions for other applications and for a short time to start serial production of pilotless complexes on the basis of convertiplanes, – the CEO of Aeroxo Eldar Razroyev said.

The convertiplane – the aircraft with rotary engines which at take off and landing work as lifting (like the helicopter or a kopter) and in horizontal flight become "aircraft" - pulling or pushing owing to what it does not need a runway or the specialized starting system.

As a part of Rostec the Vega concern entering into Ruselectronics implements projects on creation of unmanned aerial vehicles of different types and aviation monitoring systems.
