Information security

Open source DBMSs support MySQL and PostgreSQL. If a non-commercial DBMS (PostgreSQL) is used for Russia, then the latest versions of such DBMS will be supported. This means, in particular, that by planning their information security system, customers will be able to fully count on the use of the funds provided by the platforms they know for these purposes. One of the main combinations of OS - DBMS for customers with special information security requirements will be the AstraLinux - PostgreSQL bundle.

Features of a three-tier architecture

The Ma-3 system is built using a three-level client-server architecture. The processing of business logic is carried out mainly at the application server level, and partially at the DBMS level (in the case of using stored procedures for mass data processing). The business logic on the client is not processed.

This architecture allows you to use existing information security tools in the system or embed your own information security tools at various levels.

2019: Integration of "Ma-3" with IoT technologies from "Ai Ti Scan"

The company "National Platform," the developer of the ERP system "Ma-3," and the company "Ai Ti Skan," the developer of warehouse complex management systems and optimization of production logistics, on October 22, 2019 announced the beginning of cooperation, the purpose of which is to create and promote a joint solution for managing complex logistics of enterprises on the platform "Ma 3."

Cooperation between the two companies will expand the capabilities of the Ma-3 ERP system in terms of organizing warehouse storage and logistics systems of the enterprise and create a Russian solution with expanded logistics management functions on this basis. As a result, customers will be able to implement a system for supply chain management and advanced real-time logistics planning.

The joint solution of the National Platform and Ai Ti Scan to manage complex logistics on the Ma 3 platform will allow enterprises to reduce the cost and time of processing orders, reduce purchase costs and inventory, including through integration with all other functions of the ERP system. 2018: Inclusion of Ma-3 in the Unified Register of Russian Programs

The National Platform Company, a vendor of the Russian ERP system, announced on March 20, 2018 that the Ma-3 ERP system was officially included in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases by Order No. 136 of the Ministry of Communications of the 28.03.2018.

The register was created in accordance with Article 12.1 of the Federal Law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection" in order to expand the use of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases, confirm their origin from the Russian Federation, as well as in order to provide copyright holders of programs for electronic computers or databases of state support measures.

2017: Certificate of State Registration of the Ma-3 System in Rospatent

In February 2017, the National Platform company received a certificate of state registration of the Ma-3 system in the Register of Computer Programs of the Federal Intellectual Property Service (Rospatent). The certificate confirms that the company is the owner of the exclusive intellectual property right in relation to this software ( Ma-3 is a domestic solution belonging to the class of high-performance ERP systems).

As of 2017, the Ma-3 ERP system is a domestic industrial solution developed by the National Platform company (part of the NCC holding) as part of the state exchange rate for import substitution. The system was created for enterprises that support the operability of infrastructure critical for the functioning of the state, and has significantly higher performance than existing Russian ERP solutions.

2016: ERP System Creation with TOTVS

In May 2016, it became known that the National Computer Corporation (NCC), together with the Brazilian IT vendor TOTVS, will create an enterprise management system (ERP) for the Russian market.

In the fall of 2016, it was clarified that TOTVS is not involved in the development of an ERP system, the company has developers from Brazil, but they are on the staff of the National Platform.

The goal of the new company will be to develop and bring to the Russian market a new product in the ERP segment with a unique combination of such characteristics as reliability, security, data security, continuity, high performance, scalability, reasonable pricing.

The project team of Russian and Brazilian specialists is actively developing functional modules of the new ERP system. This project includes the development and creation of modules that support the financial and economic activities of the organization, such as accounting, taxes, HR, etc. At the same time, organizational, technical and marketing measures will be carried out to create a sales channel - a partner network, conduct training, establish support and services.

The ERP system is designed for companies and organizations that have increased requirements for working in a secure information environment and continuity and uninterrupted operation of the information system. Potential consumers are enterprises of strategic industries, military-industrial complex organizations, defense enterprises, state authorities, state corporations and large enterprises of a federal scale.

According to Vedomosti, citing its own sources, NCC will finalize the TOTVS ERP system, developed for 11 different industries. As the President of the NCC Alexander Kalinin clarified, this is not about translating the Brazilian product into Russian: the National Platform, which is part of the NCC, will create functional and industry modules based on the revised core of TOTVS ERP products. According to Kalinin, the new solution will be able to replace the enterprise management systems presented in Russia.

The interlocutor of Vedomosti, familiar with the managers of one of the structures of the NCC, believes that the ERP system of NCC and TOTVS should occupy a niche between 1C and SAP in terms of price and performance. According to two sources of the publication, the product will be sold to government agencies and state corporations that are demanding on information security.

Sergei Korneev, president of the Technoserv group of companies, believes that the new solution has more prospects in state-owned companies. Olga Tarnovskaya, vice president for work with vendors of the Asteros group, doubts that the new player will be able to find his place on the market and convince the customer to choose an unknown solution.

Dmitry Chernykh, CEO of Galactica (Russian developer of ERP systems), agrees with this opinion. He also draws attention to the additional difficulty in finding the first customer - he must decide to become a pilot platform for a new product.^[2]
