2020: Announcement of a system
At the beginning of June, 2020 provided to Nissan the system of the four-wheel drive for electric vehicles. The technology which received the name e-4ORCE allows to reach optimal balance between the high power and control of a car, the Japanese producer claims.
A system assumes use of two electric motors which set all four wheels in motion. The solution provides the balanced management of the chassis, accurate following of a trajectory and permanent accuracy of steering, saving behavior of the car predictable even during sudden maneuvers.
The press service of Nissan describes a system as "revolutionary all-wheel drive technology" which will help drivers with different skills of driving by instant draft and will provide the balanced and predictable power in any situations, for example, when it is necessary to avoid sharply collision or when the roadbed does not provide sufficient coupling with wheels.
In a standard mode of driving the draft is distributed between motors equally — 50/50. However in case of need, for example, when the roadbed is covered with snow or dirt, it can be completely postponed for a front or back axis.
The task consisted in providing impressive dynamics and also to achieve high riding comfort for all passengers, irrespective of conditions and style of driving, says Nissan. |
Before the company used only the front drive on cars with electric motors. Tests of an all-wheel drive system for electric cars is an important step on the way to entry into the market of electrocrossovers: by June 10, 2020 Nissan is going to provide global model on the basis of Ariya concept. This "SUV" is expected also in the Russian market.[1]
