TAdviser SummIT 2023: Plenary

On November 29, the annual TAdviser SummIT 2023 was held in Moscow, which opened with a plenary session, and then continued with the work of thematic sections. The summit participants, of which there were more than 1,400, were addressed by representatives of companies in various sectors of the economy, financial organizations, as well as IT vendors. As part of the event, the TAdviser IT Prize winners were awarded in 16 nominations.

In his opening remarks, TAdviser editor-in-chief Alexander Levashov recalled that this year the business portal noted its majority - now it is 18 years old, and the event in the expanded format of the summit is already 14 in a row. More and more participants and speakers come here. Their number is growing every year. Today, more than 150 speakers from the IT blocks of the largest Russian companies took part in TAdviser SummIT 2023, and more than 1,400 delegates gathered to listen to expert speeches.

Ilya Sivtsev, General Director of Astra Group of Companies, stated that Astra OS is the only operating system that uses its own information protection tools (the market share of Russian OS is 75% according to 2022). He also outlined the quantitative parameters of Astra's business: the team has more than 2 thousand employees, the company has 19 thousand customers, 17 products in the infrastructure software segment.

Alexey Nesterov, Director of ERP Solutions, 1C, spoke about his vision of the future of ERP systems in the Russian market, but began his speech by describing the results that the company has achieved in 24 years. The speaker emphasized digital technologies that are part of the 1S-ERP and already have a number of implementations. We are talking about:

  • artificial intelligence (used in document recognition, speech, sales forecasting, equipment failures);
  • chat bots (in document management, CRM, etc.);
  • 1C Analytics tool for working with big data in different sections;
  • Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) is the ability to integrate with various equipment;
  • Digital twin technology and 3D visualization of product lifecycle management.

During the report, the speaker recalled that 1C state a roadmap for the development of a high-tech platform was signed between the company. " 1C: Enterprise In addition, on May 31, 2023, a cooperation agreement was signed between 1C and ANO of the NCC ISU, and a plan for the development of the 1C: Enterprise software platform for 2023-2025 was agreed. The execution of this plan is carried out in accordance with the schedule.

At the end of the speech, Alexey Nesterov suggested that by 2030 one or two leading universal domestic systems, several "good niche" (by industries and tasks), as well as many "one customer" systems, striving to become niche and universal, will be determined on the market. He also predicted that:

  • foreign systems will not return the previous share, provided that domestic systems are developed;
  • The market leaders will be platform-based, high-load, rapidly customizable systems with capabilities at the level of foreign analogues that have export potential;
  • Support for digital technologies out of the box and ready integration with various services and GISs will be of increasing importance, contributing to the creation of ecosystems;
  • Advantages will be enjoyed by those who have more specialists for implementation, while chatbots will be actively used;
  • Composite, modular and even monolithic systems will find their customers.

How, in your opinion, does import substitution take place in our country?

Alexey Nesterov: For 11 months of 2023, sales of 1C: Enterprises, if compared with the same period last year, increased by more than 44%. Among other things, sales of new jobs increased at a faster pace, by 68%. Among the main reasons for such growth are the revival of the economy, and the focus on the development of small and large organizations. In addition, the deferred demand of 2022 worked, real, and not in words, import substitution began.

1C and its decisions were ready for this. Our investments in the scalability and cross-platform of the 1C: Enterprise system were justified. Implementations for thousands of users have become commonplace. "1C: Enterprise" can really be used on a par with or to replace well-known world systems. The 1C community has demonstrated its sustainability and stability to customers and the market.

The market for solutions based on 1C is in the billions, and in the near future it will only grow, according to experts. In your opinion, which areas for growth look the most interesting? What IT trends do you plan to support in the next year or two?

Alexey Nesterov: We follow the trends and IT continue to improve our programs, increase their functionality. The 1C: Enterprise 8 technology platform is already a unique combination of a set of tools and technologies (full-stack platform), which allows you to create highly loaded cross-platform business solutions of any complexity, and a concept low-code that minimizes the amount of written code.

1C solutions are actively developing digital technologies that create an area for growth both now and in subsequent years: artificial intelligence (for document and speech recognition, speech generation, sales forecasting and other tasks), predictive analytics, smart chatbots, smart manufacturing technologies, mobile technologies, big data analytics and others.

In our opinion, the market leaders for the coming years will include platform systems that withstand high loads, quickly customizable domestic systems with capabilities at the level of foreign analogues or their superior, which, of course, include 1C: Enterprise.

Alexey Likhodzievsky, head of the service "Yandex Browser for organizations," compared the corporate solution "Yandex Browser" with a Swiss knife. In addition to a single window for interacting with online services, this browser provides the following tools for various specialists:

  • Advanced administration, update management, access to policy management to fine-tune the browser at the business unit level - for system administrators
  • DLP management, integration with internal information security systems - for information security employees.

He stressed that the browser creates another layer of protection that complements the existing EPP/EDR solutions in the company's infrastructure. In addition, the new product has a DLP function and the ability to integrate with SIEM.

The speaker considered the peculiarities of using Yandex's corporate browser in three segments of the economy: the financial, automotive and oil and gas industries. Thus, in the financial segment, increased attention is paid to information security, to ensure which restrictions are used using group policies, monitoring and transmission of events to information security systems, access logging, setting rights and controlling access to sensitive content, protected mode.

It is clear that the corporate browser should be very different from the usual one that we are used to using at home. In the corporate environment, both DLP functions and the expanded composition of group policies are in demand. Integration with security systems is also more in demand. Tell me, do you have any interesting story from practice, when exactly the protected browser successfully provided information security for the customer company?

Alexey Likhodzievsky: The employee tried to copy the company's customer data from the CRM system for transfer to third parties for a fee, but the clipboard access control policy (data leakage protection) was activated in the browser. As a result, this copy attempt was blocked by the browser, and information security officers were able to detect the incident in time, since the browser sends the corresponding security events to the SIEM system. The data breach incident was successfully prevented.

What additional layers of protection are provided by the browser? Is it possible to protect yourself using a regular browser?

Alexey Likhodzievsky: In ordinary browsers, of course, basic security tools are integrated, but this is not enough for comprehensive protection of corporate data. Yandex Browser for Organizations provides additional protection in accordance with the concept of "Defense in Depth" at various levels: at the network level, as well as applications, devices, perimeters and data.

In which areas of the business is your solution most in demand? First of all, your customers are the banking sector or still industrial companies?

Alexey Likhodzievsky: We have a huge circle of clients. These are large companies from different areas, and small and medium-sized businesses. There are no scope restrictions. Our focus clients are enterprise companies from such areas as finance, telecom, industry, oil and gas, state corporations and retail.

Does the browser compete as a single window for working with cloud services in this sense with enterprise applications that companies often develop for themselves, or not? There is such an opinion that it is worth developing a superapp, and corporate users will no longer need browsers at all.

Alexey Likhodzievsky: There is an increase in demand for cloud solutions, primarily in large companies. We, in turn, see an increase in the use of Yandex Browser by employees to solve work problems in an open loop. Over the past 7 months, this growth has been 40%. One of the powerful requests to us this year was the development of a mobile version to provide secure access to corporate services for employees without a stationary workplace.

Andrei Vratsky, CEO, eXpress, stated that the main problem of communications in large corporations lies in the field of ensuring secure mobile communications between employees. He immediately noted that the larger the corporation, the stronger this "pain," and shared the discoveries that eXpress has made over the past three years during the development of smartapps - mobile super applications - for Norilsk Nickel, Rosatom and a number of other corporations.

Andrei Vratsky defined smartapps as "the road to the mobile web" - they make it possible not to develop individual native mobile applications with the involvement of expensive specialists. At the same time, there is a security problem, but eXpress solved this problem by converting traffic into an encrypted messenger using its own technological developments.

Then the speaker spoke about what smartapps are (thick and thin), and shared details about the advantages of each type, emphasized the great prospects of smartapps to become a single window for the user to enter all application systems.

Smartapps compete with corporate browsers (especially if you mean the function of protection and operation in browser mode)? And ordinary messengers?

Andrey Vratsky: Smartapps do not compete with corporate browsers because they open directly in the browser. These are different technologies, as well as smartapps and instant messengers. In principle, the use of ordinary messengers for corporate correspondence is wrong. This business-relevant issue closes the secure eXpress messenger.

What new services are available thanks to smartapps?

Andrey Vratsky: Any that a mobile user needs. These are mail, corporate portal, document flow, employee's personal account, support service, applications for line personnel in production facilities (storekeepers, crawlers) and many others. Everything that should be mobile can be implemented in a smartphone in the form of a smartup.

What is your development horizon? Roughly speaking, smartapps will be able to become such a corporate "ring of omnipotence" when users access all corporate systems through them? What needs to be done for this and which industries will be interested in this approach?

Andrey Vratsky: Smartapps will become a "single window" through which users will access all corporate systems. In a single application, enterprise users get everything they need to work. To do this, we came up with SmartApp Proxy and SmartApp Bridge technologies, thanks to which, in fact, you do not need to write an application from scratch - just stretch the connectors to any information system.

These technologies can be of interest to companies from any industry: we have customers from the real sector of the economy, power, banks, critical infrastructure facilities.

Roman Gotz, General Director of DataRu, a Russian vendor of technological solutions and services, offered to talk about Russian-made equipment, but began with modern global trends. Among them are computer vision, molecular modeling, rendering, constant high-precision calculations, forecasting, processing large arrays of images, the industrial Internet of Things.

The speaker noted that Intel is releasing new tick-tock processors. In addition, Wi-Fi 6E technology is developing - new devices are coming out that allow you to better use wireless communication. Russia has its own trend - for import substitution. Roman Gotz outlined the following cycles of this trend:

  • 2014-2021 - the beginning of the life cycle;
  • 2022-2023 - peak of high expectations;
  • 2024-2026 - "fire, water and copper pipes";
  • after 2026 - growing maturity of domestic suppliers and reaching a plateau of productivity.

Noting that the company's equipment line has doubled, Roman Gotz spoke about servers, DSS, network solutions, hardware and software complexes, services and services of Datru. He stressed that the equipment is certified to work with a number of domestic developments (Astra Group of Companies, Basalt, etc.), and not only with the level of operating systems, but also with virtualization, with convergence. Currently, PACS with DBMS and application software are being created. At the same time, DataRu is fully responsible for the operation of its equipment.

How do you assess the level of maturity of domestic suppliers? Is it already sufficient to meet all the needs of big business? If not, what areas should be "tightened"? How long can this be done?

Roman Gotz: When we talk about domestic suppliers and understand by this system integrators, in this context this rank of companies was and remains mature. They always focused on relationships with customers and on meeting the needs of not only large, but also small and medium-sized businesses. The production and supply chains of equipment and software in the Russian Federation have already been debugged, they are working. Yes, there are roughness, but in general, customers close their needs by 90%, and the planned budgets of most companies are spent on time.

But the problems, of course, remain. For example, the issue of access to equipment with graphics accelerators has not been resolved. However, this is a global problem: the demand for it is huge all over the world - and Russian customers, unfortunately, are not in the forefront of the queue. Another growth point for this IT segment is the promotion of ready-made, end-to-end solutions for customers. It is important that the hardware and software implementation dates do not stretch for years, and customers do not fill bumps over and over again. Hardware and software complexes (PACS) are on the rise, they have understandable and clear value for the market. It is left for suppliers and customers to determine where and how best to use complex products - and start using them.

How mature do domestic operating systems look now?

Roman Gotz: Taking into account the fact that the Ministry of Digital Development of OS Manufacturers is dozens in the register, I would like to answer that all products are mature. And at the same time, in fact, only a few solutions can be called mature today. The infrastructure software layer in 2023 significantly tightened in quality, and customers have something to choose from. I can share my life hack, how to choose the right vendor: when communicating with the software manufacturer, ask him a question, how and where does the company see itself in 5 and 10 years? Work with those who understand their long-term development strategy.

You work with companies of various profiles: from retail to metallurgy. In your opinion, what are the most popular IT problems for the customer now? Maybe something cannot be overcome in any way? And the opposite question: what has already been overcome and now everything is fine? What did you manage to successfully cope with after the departure of Western vendors?

Roman Gotz: Each market sector has its own nuances. Retail, as the most adaptive area of ​ ​ the market for changes, was extremely quickly rebuilt on Russian equipment manufacturers. Such companies provided themselves with the supply of hardware solutions with all levels of support and service. For them, business continuity is paramount. Of course, not everything is perfect: some companies still remain either in a state of chaos, or continue to work with foreign vendors. But this is a dead end path for business development, so I am sure that in 2024 the invisible hand of the market, according to Adam Smith, will fix everything. The remaining companies will turn their attention to domestic IT manufacturers.

What do all customers have in common? Everyone has a question, but what to do with the so-called "trophy software"? Everyone decides it differently: someone leaves everything as it is, someone looks towards the PACS.

There are more general questions that should not be forgotten. Customer IT departments are the service function for the core business. Our task is to give the best solution so that with the introduction of digital technologies, the main business becomes even more competitive. And at the same time, IT may not affect everything and not always. When the main business stagnates due to geopolitical reasons, this is reflected in the plans for digitalization and in the IT budgets of customers. Here we can help overcome these difficulties, but this is higher than IT alone.

Pavel Kulakov, shareholder, founder and CEO of Oxygen, presented trends that, according to him, will determine the development of IT infrastructure in Russia for the next two to three years, and also spoke more about his company. To begin with, he listed four of Oxygen's main activities: data centers; Advanced Cloud Engine cloud geodistributed platform; cybersecurity centers; IT infrastructure consulting.

Further, Pavel Kulakov spoke in more detail about each of the directions. So, a To Moscow data center for 1,500 racks is already operating in. In terms of trends, the speaker expressed confidence that industry clouds will be formed, and invited the summit participants to a partnership to create such specialized cloud platforms for the fuel and energy complex, retail, and e-commerce. Which clouds are most popular with your customers now if you divide them into large, medium, and small businesses? Still small businesses opt for open clouds, and large ones are looking for hybrids? Or have there been changes?

Pavel Kulakov: The most popular among our customers are still public clouds in different Oxygen locations in all segments. At the same time, enterprise-level companies are growing demand for georeservation of cloud IT infrastructures through hybrid clouds. This is natural - large companies have large own infrastructures. At the same time, the share of private clusters is growing where it is necessary to comply with the requirements of regulators or internal corporate standards. And this happens regardless of the scale of the business. It's just that the driver of the growth of private clouds is not a market segment, but the requirements of the law.

What has changed in the requirements for ensuring information security recently? Customers pay more attention to ready-made boxed information security systems by subscription? What is this connected with?

Pavel Kulakov: There are two main drivers in the information security world: the first is legislation and the second is the current threat landscape. These two components define the information security requirements as a whole. On the one hand, companies need to comply with the regulations of the regulator, and on the other, adapt to the changed spectrum of cyber threats. At the same time, the nature of the consumption of information security services largely depends on the maturity of the departments responsible for data security within the customer. Often companies have enough ready-made, boxed solutions. These solutions are indeed designed to make up the "infobozy" binding of "IT" subscription solutions.

For example, many Internet access providers include protection against DDoS attacks on the IP address pool, and this is enough for customers at the current stage. But if the maturity level of the company's information security division is quite high, and they clearly understand what unacceptable events should be avoided, how these unacceptable events can affect the implementation of business KPIs and what threats should be countered, then such customers cannot talk about boxed solutions. It requires full-fledged consulting projects on IT and information security. Only the service model remains unchanged here, by subscription. Now this is a general trend.

How much has the role of AI intensified when it comes to information security? What benefits does it bear?

Pavel Kulakov: A very correct question. AI will indeed play a huge role in information security issues. Algorithms will help find vulnerabilities in infrastructures, recognize threats, and be included in the management of infrastructure defenses. At the same time, AI can be used from the opposite side. At the same time, he will also play an important role in information security issues, but already in the role of an attacker. There are already cases when ChatGPT successfully writes a scenario for organizing a DDoS attack. So, as they say, there are nuances here.

In your speech, you mentioned that 99% of information security solutions on the Russian market are already domestic. We traditionally had this area strong, and many information security companies have long successfully competed on the world stage. According to your observations, did this fact interfere with the successful import substitution of the departed vendors? Any difficulties arose or this area can be safely called problem-free (especially if compared with the "iron" question, which is still being solved with great difficulty)?

Pavel Kulakov: On the contrary, the departure of foreign players opened up for Russian developers of information security solutions those niches that were previously occupied by foreign vendors. Changes in the requirements of regulators for quite a long time have been aimed at ensuring that domestic suppliers are the main players in the Russian information security market, so that after the departure of foreign vendors for import substitution in the field of information security, quite fertile soil appeared.

As for calls, any software or hardware product, be it a DBMS, operating system, or firewall, must go through certain stages of maturity. Developers need to increase R&D, increase the number of specialists, pilot zones, tests. In the end, you need to get enough feedback from users before the solution can be considered mature. Thus, the information security sphere, like other areas of information technology, cannot be considered absolutely problem-free.

Nikolay Aminov, head of the commercial service of the digital platform iSource, shared the results of a study of the supply market in industry. He highlighted a certain similarity between industrial purchases and the most common trips to the store for food or consumer goods. Both there and there it is advisable to plan purchases, not to visit stores during the hours of their greatest workload, not to buy too much. It is best to take goods from the right suppliers and not at the peak of the season of their demand, but in advance.

Nikolai Aminov cited statistics: in Russia, 3 thousand companies spend on purchases from 10 billion rubles a year, and optimization of procurement costs gives the effect of savings of 3-5%. Therefore, the implementation of the SRM procurement system, the introduction of a corporate trading platform or the connection to the federal site pays off very quickly, within 1-1.5 years. The results of a survey conducted by the company among 100 companies with revenues over 30 billion rubles showed that:

  • The largest potential for procurement automation is the oil and gas sector, the transport industry and construction; the share of procurement costs in revenue - from 55% to 72.5%;
  • 40-67% of procurement in transport and construction comes from works and services;
  • in the oil and gas sector, power and mechanical engineering, they mainly purchase materials and equipment - 67%, 43% and 40% of the volume of purchases, respectively;
  • 90% of purchases of large industrial enterprises are carried out in electronic form through trading platforms;
  • 90% of companies have a centralized purchasing function - the key role in procurement is concentrated in the corporate center, which consolidates the need and makes key decisions in the procurement process;
  • The most mature, from the point of view of automation, is the process of selecting suppliers.

Anatoly Denisov, editor-in-chief of the Runet Ratings analytical project, shared his experience in choosing contractors. He gained such experience during the provision of contractor selection services to large companies. In many courses, they teach to sell, but do not teach to buy, and this is no less important, the speaker believes. When choosing a contractor, it is necessary to be guided not by the price of its services, but by the degree of compliance of its competencies with the tasks that the company faces, and the ability to solve these tasks on time, efficiently and at an acceptable price.

What is more in demand from business now?

Anatoly Denisov: Considering that ratings are published once a year and are built either on the basis of business indicators, or on reviews and fame, my thoughts are like this. A startup at a short distance loses to an understandable business. Especially now, when competition in digital products is wild, you need to search, attract and retain users.

In the long term, an innovative product can beat a basic product, but we will know about it at best in a few years. In the short term, custom development is a more stable source of income, and in the long term, a successful product will definitely bring more money and fame.

Do domestic companies still suffer from a shortage of IT developers? On the one hand, top management continues to call terrible numbers in the spirit of "we lack a million IT specialists," on the other hand, many IT specialists say that they do not observe a special pursuit of their person. Is everyone saved by an outstaph?

In 2023, a basic version of Evoskad was created in a cluster implementation with the ability to process 1.2 million signals per second, moreover, on domestic servers. The system is included in the Register of domestic software, compatible with Gostekh. In 2024-2025 it will be implemented on a fully functional scale.

Evoskada is universal in nature, which can be used not only in Transneft, but also adapt to different industries and different businesses, when real-time work is critical. Andrei Badalov emphasized that this is an open source product that can be finalized and developed with the involvement of vendors and integrators.   • the number of individuals - active users of digital solutions 2 million 435 thousand (expected to grow to 2 million 849 thousand).

This is important in order to increase the frequency of contacts with the client. A person primarily interacts with a bank: for example, when he buys real estate, or with a car dealership, if he buys a car - and he does not always understand why he needs an insurance service at all. To make the transition to working in ecosystems, the insurance company needs to determine the assets for the digital economy, these are:

  • customer base;
  • unique data (medical, in terms of damage to automobile products, etc.);
  • Flexible product approach (products can be combined)
  • business diversification.

Olga Sorokina identified two types of transformation: organizational and IT transformation - and then settled on each of them in more detail. Thus, the implementation of the SAFe methodology changed the operating model of the company both in terms of product development, and at the operational level, and in regional management. Microservice architecture, platform and data-centric approaches are being implemented in the direction of IT transformation. Now any service being implemented is seen from the point of view of a platform approach as a potential business opportunity, a new digital asset.

Anatoly Taratorin, Information Technology Director, Rosbank, shared the bank's experience in the transition from a monolithic system to a microservice architecture. For more than 25 years, the bank has had a monolithic ABS operating exclusively under the IBM i OS. The system has many internal restrictions, undocumented implementation features, and it is still difficult to change it, and there is no possibility of horizontal scaling.

Rosbank abandoned the idea of ​ ​ updating the existing ABS, as well as replacing it with a new one, and chose the path of converting the monolith into a service landscape. We are talking about a hybrid architecture, which provides blocks of various sizes and, among other things, sets of microservices responsible for functionality. At the same time, it is planned to use standard box solutions, but focus on development on solutions that can give the bank competitive advantages. The target IT landscape is as follows:

  • independent development of business lines;
  • separation of food factories and accounting;
  • Open architecture
  • Reliability and scalability
  • import substitution.

As of 2023, new solutions for RBS (individuals, legal entities) are already working, a new back has been implemented for corporate products, new payment platforms and the bank's general ledger have been introduced. Completion of work on the departure from the old ABS is planned by 2027.

Sergey Kostin, CEO BSL and LLC 1S-BSL: Yes, BSL specializes in creating industry IT solutions, including for retail. In this area, we notice several key patterns. The first, often found in development requests in, retail is the digitalization of the delivery process, especially the last mile. Companies from retail, e-commerce and HoReCa are trying to launch their own delivery service, which leads to an increase in demand for couriers. As a result, optimizations business processes related to delivery are needed to improve the performance of couriers. The main goal is that one delivery person can fulfill more orders and still maintain the quality of service.

The second trend is associated with the expansion of the product line and ensuring the availability of goods. This includes fast logistics between warehouses and stores, including rail and air travel between cities. I believe that soon these processes will also be proactively automated.

Of the current projects in the field of intercity logistics, the S7 Logistics case is interesting. The logistics solution is a comprehensive system that organizes and manages the first and last mile processes for door-to-door delivery of goods between cities, that is, it connects all stages of the logistics chain, allows you to manage processes and track the stages of transportation. This project influenced the development of a new standard of air delivery between Russian cities for up to 24 hours.

Artificial intelligence is a promising area for optimizing business processes in retail. Using GPT models, for example, in demand analysis, forecasting, automating the placement of goods on shelves, reading and recognizing information using cameras. This can be especially required in the dispatch service and the processing of incoming requests, thereby reducing the load on the call center.

BSL often came this year with requests related to optimizing order assembly, including discrete multi-assemblies. These requests are more detailed and aimed at improving the efficiency of couriers and saving their time.

Many experts believe that 2022-2023 dictated another requirement for us: to bet on information security. And we are talking not only about more frequent attacks, but about the development of new directions. So, with the development of quantum computing, the information security level around the world is under threat. How do you consider this trend when developing your own products?

Sergey Kostin: Information security is not a focus profile of the IT company BSL, but this is certainly a very important area. Recently, user data leaks have become more frequent, especially from marketplaces that aggregate a large stream of audiences.

Data breach is a serious and critical issue. The larger the marketplace, the more attractive it becomes for cybercriminals who want to get this data. Thus, marketplaces become data aggregators, and data in our time is a valuable resource. For companies of this profile, the issue of information security becomes extremely relevant and requires special attention.

This applies not only to retail. In the development of solutions for our customers, especially large customers from various industries, we notice an increase in information security requirements. They actively include many aspects of safety in technical specifications as mandatory requirements.

In your opinion, in what state is the printing electronics market in Russia now? What is its volume and how competitive are our solutions in this regard?

Georgy Kornilov, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Strategy, Goznak JSC: The Russian flexible electronics market is estimated at about 20 billion rubles and is now on the rise. In the future, the Russian market should reach 40 billion rubles in five years.

The industry is growing rapidly due to the increase in the number of IoT devices, the expansion of the use of solar panels, the introduction of flexible components in medical devices, the use of smart packaging in pharmaceuticals, retail, logistics, etc. Components made with this technology have a low cost in industrial production volumes.

In Russia, the main consumers of flexible electronics in the complex products are defense industry enterprises, healthcare, industrial production, scientific enterprises, manufacturers of household appliances and the automotive industry. There are companies producing materials for industry, scientific groups engaged in fundamental and applied developments in the field and, of course, manufacturers of devices and components.

Currently, the main business model of Russian manufacturers is small-scale contract production (small-scale production of industrial quality products for specific customers). In the future, Goznak plans to occupy the niche of a large Russian manufacturer of flexible printed electronics. Currently, the technical level of products produced in Russia corresponds to the world level, but it is important not to miss this level and move on to new breakthrough technologies.

It is believed that with the development of printed electronics, completely new products can be obtained. What could it be?

Georgy Kornilov: Currently, key product areas are flexible displays, flexible light sources, printed batteries, flexible sensors, antennas and RFID, flexible memory, photovoltaic, wearable electronics. In Goznak, flexible sensors were chosen as the main direction of work. These include, for example, pressure, stretch, temperature, humidity, gas sensors, chemosensors, and others.

Market research has led to growing commercial interest due to the profitability of production. Inexpensive sensors are needed for devices Internet of Things (Internet of Things, IoT). They are easily manufactured on various substrates, such as polymers, paper or even fabric, using screen printing or any other mass production method.

The sensors may have different geometries and sizes to suit a specific need. For this reason, flexible printed sensors are easy to integrate into various devices. They are usually used in areas where light weight, flexibility and low cost are key advantages: for example, in logistics (perishable goods), aviation, automotive. Due to the low cost, components made with this technology are also suitable for disposable use, which is relevant for healthcare.

If we talk about completely new breakthrough directions of flexible electronics, then this is, first of all, molecular electronics, that is, electronics with a thickness of one molecule. Using molecular electronics, it is possible to create microcircuits, transistors and even microprocessors. Currently, this technology is at the level of deep scientific research, which is carried out by several scientific groups in the world, including in Russia.

Now the question is from a completely different sphere. It is not the first time that Goznak has presented fintech products (a mobile application for investments, software for ATMs, etc.) at industry exhibitions. How difficult is it to work in this area now? Banking giants look like what it seems - the entire IT financial market has already been taken over by their ecosystems.

Georgy Kornilov: Banking giants are focused mainly on the development of banking services. Goznak is not a banking organization, but at the same time it is firmly associated with finance. The degree of trust in us both from banking professionals and from the population is quite high. This position gives us a unique opportunity to create and promote financial services for both banks and the population. There are difficulties in any work. Promoting new products is a difficult and painstaking job. But the result pleases.

From the latter, I would note the unique software for ATMs for the domestic market. We expect the mass introduction of this software in early 2024 and expect that thanks to it, more than 60% of ATMs with recycling in Russia will accept updated banknotes. Also this year, we launched the GoznakInvestments mobile service in test mode, with the help of which we can remotely invest in physical gold. Already, the registration account goes to thousands and we assume that the imminent connection of completely remote identification will significantly expand the circle of users.

Thus, the digital product market is not new to us, we are actively developing and see growth points, even despite fierce competition and related challenges.
